I suggested people get their iodine tablets last week. It might be too late now.
ST. PETERSBURG. October 10. /TASS/. Russia will respond toughly, if the Kiev regime continues attempts to carry out terror attacks on Russian territory, President of Russia Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
“If attempts continue to carry out terror attacks on our territory, Russia’s responses will be tough and by their scope correspond to the level of threats created for the Russian Federation,” the head of state said at a meeting with members of Russia’s Security Council.
“No one must have any doubts about that,” Putin stressed.
By its acts, the Kiev regime has put itself on a par with international terrorist organizations and, therefore, these crimes simply cannot be left unanswered, the Russian leader said.
As Putin said, “this morning, at the suggestion of the Defense Ministry and under a plan of the Russian General Staff, a massive strike by Russia’s long-range air-, sea- and ground-based precision weapons was delivered against Ukrainian energy, military command and communications facilities.”
The president instructed the defense minister “to report on the results.”
Russian Security Council meeting
The Russian Security Council meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Speakers of both houses of parliament Valentina Matviyenko and Vyacheslav Volodin, Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, Presidential Administration Head Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergey Naryshkin and Special Russian Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergey Ivanov.
After the president’s speech, the meeting continued its work behind closed doors.

Russia indiscriminately targets civilians.
Russia calls the bridge attack "terrorism".
Tells you all you need to know.
It’s war. Killing people and breaking things is pretty much the textbook definition of it.
CC
So much shat left out in that commentary, not even remotely funny, at all.
Russia indiscriminately targets civilians.
Indeed this is how it is reported.
The bridge truck bomb killed civilians.
We know you admire bullies like Putin and his thugs, you don’t have to tell us any more. I don’t consider you a conservative at all.
If you are scared, hide under your bed.
Spare me the drivel given how much BS you and your propaganda peddling cohorts have spewed endlessly within FR over the months.
It’s reported that way because it’s a fact. Don’t tell us you’re a conservative when you’re just a Putin stooge.
Conservatives don’t support or sympathize with neo-Nazis either but you and your propaganda peddling cohorts claiming to be conservatives do.
Irony huh?!
You’re no conservative. You’re an admirer of Pooty Put and his brutal thugs.
Do you not see the difference between blowing up a bridge and shooting missiles at apartment buildings?
The true extremists in this country are the Putin admirers. They’re not conservatives, and shouldn’t be considered as such.
You are the Rus insider here. How many rotted old missiles does Pooty have left? That won’t blow up on the launch pad or tube? I am serious and need this info for me Ukraine brother in law stuck in Kiev.
Some of us know the truth ‘conservative’ peddler. Be assured.
One of many, MANY, examples....
