Voters must hand the Republican Party a victory in the upcoming midterm election so they can secure the southern border, former President Donald Trump explained Sunday.
“First we have to win a historic victory for the Republican Party this November,” he told the huge crowd during his Save America Rally in Mesa, Arizona.
“Job number one for Republican Congress is to stop the invasion and that’s what it is. It’s like a military invasion. In many ways, it’s worse because, with military, you can stop them with force. These people are coming through totally unencumbered. But we have to stop the invasion on our southern border,” Trump stated.
Republican Blake Masters blasted Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and President Joe Biden (D) regarding illegal immigration while speaking during Thursday’s debate in the Arizona Senate race, according to Breitbart News.
Masters said:
Call me old-fashioned but I think the correct amount of illegal immigration is zero. That’s what federal law says. The problem is, Joe Biden and Mark Kelly are willfully ignoring federal law. They’ve surrendered our southern border, they’ve given it up to the Mexican drug cartels.
We had operational control two years ago and now it’s just a disaster. They incentivize people to break the law. Illegal aliens, when they come here, they are supposed to be caught and deported back to their country or some other country that wants them. But now, Joe Biden and Mark Kelly, they laid out the welcome mat. This is the greatest country in the history of the world. If you invite everyone to come here, you’ll create a crisis

Last night I flew from San Antonio to Phoenix on an evening flight. I was one of five Americans on the flight, full flight filled with Mexicans or South Americans that did not speak English, it was a very weird experience. I felt as if I entered the twilight zone. The ones that sat around me were using paper boarding passes and looked as if they had some sort of manila envelope with paperwork inside. Biden flights?? I have no idea, but I’m nervous my daughter who is an attractive 20 year d is flying the same route Wednesday, thinking about cancelling her flight and rebooking a morning flight.
It will take much more than control of Congress to close the border.
Anyway, I could be wrong - I hope I am - but I think if the GOP gets both chambers they will do nothing about the border.
Stopping the invasion is no longer enough. Building the wall is no longer enough. If we win this fall, then Trump has to ratchet up the rhetoric to advocate mass deportation. It’s the only way.
President Eisenhower had a plan to deport them. It was called ‘Operation Wetback’. I think Trump should impose it on a grand scale. Many illegals self deported when Ike sent his general to enforce it.
If Republicans gain the house or senate, it will be despite the RINO leadership, not because of them.
Trump considers himself obliged to extoll the virtues of a national political party that can’t understand him or his ilk, doesn’t appreciate him, and contains a not-insignificant number of federal office holders who seemingly never miss a chance to take a potshot at him.

That presumes the Republicans will do anything about the border...which they never have even when they could.

Unfortunately, a new political party, especially if it was successful, would be declared a terror organization and shutdown by the “authorities”.
His first Homeland Security chief was a general who got his third and fourth stars from Obama.
Trump's second DHS Secretary was a Deep State lifer who hired an immigration lawyer to be her Chief of Staff.
In Trump's first three years as President - before Covid - Trump issued more Green Cards, issued more foreign work visas, and naturalized more new voting citizens, than Obama did in Obama's last three years in office.

Realistically, what can they do? Pass more laws that Biden won’t enforce? Impeach Biden? We already have plenty of immigrations laws not being enforced and impeaching Biden will have symbolic value only.

I think I recall hearing that even legal immigration was close to zero from sometime in the 1920s through the mid-’60s. Maybe we should reinstate that for a few decades again.

Exactly. We'll never resurrect the Republic until we get conservatives into office. And we'll never do that. It takes almost fanatical level activism.
Conservatives have too much else to do. Like, mowing the lawn. Working jobs. Caring for children. Worshipping God through Christ.
The only people with time to make a change (BLM, Antifa, liberals, democrats) are those who don't work, spend their time smoking dope, protesting, molesting children...
