The real tactical mistake is Ukraine pulling ALL of its reserves and garrisons from Odessa, Kyiv, etc., etc. and throwing them in current ‘pushes’ to maintain momentum. It’s like one huge backdoor invitation which surprisingly, the Russians have not jumped all over.

The Russians sure like those back door invitations.

Ha....
The Russian Generals lack the resources to do as you say. Aside from the fact the Generals have experienced huge losses in men and material, the lack the logistical capability to move their assets around impedes what might be good deployment of troops.
As a side note, many Generals have been killed in action. Quite a few more have been fired. It is unclear who is left to command
Because they can't:
a) Ukraine's lines of communication are much shorter, so they can move troops around more quickly than Russia can assemble them in the north which would be detected almost immediately;
b) Russia would need Lukashenko's cooperation to launch a second attack from the north. Not sure that would be forthcoming.
Russia has moved some assets back into Belarus and has recently launched some air attacks from there.
