In Putin’s place I’d step down for reasons of health. While I can still pick the reason.

Why would Russia be upset? You keep telling us that the war has gone wonderful for them, that any news to the contrary is just lying western propaganda, that they have inflicted 10-1 kill rations, and that total victory is imminent. Oh, and that the western economic sanctions have made Russia stronger, and that the Russia people actually are better off now than they were before the war.

Seems like a very odd thing turn of events to be upset about. They should be thanking us!!

Russia’s attempt to negotiate in December 2021 with the United States over the status of Ukraine was rebuffed.

Maybe because Ukraine should be negotiating their own status. Russia’s problem is they think they’re entitled.

This could have been ended months ago if Ukraine agreed that they would not join NATO.

Do you think Putin would have withdrawn his troops if Ukraine agreed not to join NATO?

What gives Putin the right to demand that in the first place?

“Until Moscow’s empire is toppled, though, the region—and the world—will not be safe. Nor will Russia. Europe will remain unstable, and Ukrainians and Russians and all of the colonized peoples forced to fight for the Kremlin will continue to die. “There is no way for Russia to move forward with Putin and there is no way for Russia to move forward without addressing its imperial past and present,” the analyst Anton Barbashin recently tweeted. “Give up empire and attempt to thrive or hold [on] to it and continue degrading.”

Russia has launched the greatest war the world has seen in decades, all in the service of empire. To avoid the risk of further wars and more senseless bloodshed, the Kremlin must lose what empire it still retains. The project of Russian decolonization must finally be finished.”

DECOLONIZING THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE

Wednesday, September 28, 2022

https://www.csce.gov/international-impact/events/decolonizing-russian-empire

“There have been absolutely no entreaties toward carving up anything “Russia,” except getting back Ukrainian territory that Moscow took in 2014 and beyond.”

That is not correct. Our government on its own website describes how ethnic regions of Russia must be allowed independence.

You can watch the conference for yourself, but it is long. They talked explicitly about carving up Russia.

The hubris of FedGov know no bounds.

Absolutely. To many are missing the bigger picture. Their scope is too small. They don’t study history and learn from it.

Was it wrong when the French helped us win the war for our independence?

NATO was never going to allow Ukraine to join. They don’t qualify.

They know our media is lying to them...but what does it matter to them, as they (at least several of them) have personal reasons for wanting Russia to lose.

What angers me is the way our media is virtually identical to the old Soviet media, completely covering us the war crimes that Ukraine does. If our media would simply REPORT THE NEWS, then Ukraine would have to, at least, appear to not be doing crap like shelling nuke plants. But no, our media wants Putin out and if it takes war crimes by Ukraine, so be it.

See how the stalwart people stand tall,

defying the ridge-browed vandal, who now,
threatens to take back our plump milking-cow!

F ‘em if these barbarian Mongolian idiots are pissed off. If someone hid a huge nuke under the Kremlin. I would say let it rip.

“...Was it wrong when the French helped us win the war for our independence?...”

The French helped us with equipment. And more than that they helped us with advisors. And more than that they helped us with thousands of French troops. And more than that, even their navy played a key role.

Cornwallis’s representative at Yorktown attempted to surrender to the French General Rochambeau but Rochambeau knew that Washington was deserving of the honor and directed him to Washington and Washington directed him to a staff officer (because Cornwallis was not there himself so Washington would not accept the sword from an assistant).

From what I am getting from each of your sources, they do not have any method, including suggesting war, to make a breakup happen.

It appears to be only wishful thinking.

I wish the world was following God, but that doesn’t make it happen.

So the answer is to capitulate to the agressor?

If the Russians are crazy enough to use nukes, that’s because they’re crazy.

If we give into Russia’s threats this time, don’t you think Russia would use this approach all the time?

Putin made a career of bluffing. Of holding a weak hand and winning. Buy I always predicted one day his luck would run out. It always does.
