Anyone else have the sneaking suspicion that if that was YOUR laptop, you (and your family) would already be serving a lifelong sentence?

Nothing will ever become of this.

If his last name was trump they would have already conducted a media sensationalized raid on his house, leaked specifics of their investigation, and be waiving around an indictment.

Even if he was convicted, sentenced and jailed couldn’t daddy pardon him?

Only Republicans get charged with political crimes.

If they do charge him, expect another case where they lose it on purpose...like Durham did.

I would rather they charge him for sex with a minor (even if you travel overseas to do it, it’s still a crime)

I predict no jail time, probation for a couple of years.

“ the government does not need to have an active grand jury in order to file charges as part of a plea agreement”

A plea agreement will keep it out of the news. Half or more of Americans will never know about the Biden family corruption. Some very wealthy insiders will pay whatever fines are imposed.

Most people do not get a plea agreement for massive corruption and collusion with foreign governments.

Hard to get excited about a bit player in a crime family... especially when he has been living for years under the protection of FIB.

They are throwing this out there so that they indict PDJT and then say, “See? The Justice Department is totally fair!”

Biden will just issue a pardon and that will be the end of it.

Two possibilities, Hunter is indicted, or Hunter is not indicted. If he’s indicted, we’ll see the ineptest prosecution ever. In which case he gets off and can’t be arrested a second time for the same crime. Or, he isn’t indicted, which is worse for Biden then if Hunter goes to trial and it looks like he may go to jail. This would get the Dems through the November elections.

Suppose Hunter is indicted and goes to jail. Two possibilities. He goes to a Holiday Inn type jail and has weekends off and all the drugs he wants, or he goes to a real jail. If he goes to a real jail, he’ll lobby dad for a pardon. If Biden pardon’s him, it will be the end of Biden’s career. If Biden doesn’t then Hunter might start talking, a little at first, with a promise to shut up if dad pardons him.

The best all-around for everyone with a D by their name is if Hunter OD’s and dies.

Pardon coming forthwith. Would like to see State charges then no pardon.

My thoughts:
They're floating this out there to give them a little lee-way for Kamala or someone else to run in 2024 as their selected Dim if they feel the need to ditch Brandon.

If Brandon is way too unpopular, then him still being around gives the Dims as a whole an overall bad image. That is, unless they can frame Brandon as so badly evil from the normal politician that any Dim besides him is an improvement, thus worthy of electing in 2024 to replace him. Elect Kamala: she didn't get 10% for the big girl. She's a Dim you can trust.
