At least 31 people were killed on Thursday in a mass shooting at a children’s day-care centre in a northeastern province of Thailand, a police spokesperson said. The gunman was an ex-police officer and he took his own life following the shooting, said news agency Reuters citing local media reports.
A spokesperson for a regional public affairs office told AP that of those killed, 23 were children, two others were teachers and one was a police officer.
Mass shootings are rare but in 2020, a soldier angry over a property deal gone sour killed at least 29 people and wounded 57 in a rampage that spanned four locations.
Remember this the next time people say we can trust government figures with firearms and we don't need them ourselves

he was discharged from the police force because of the drug related stuff and apparently he is suppose to go to court tomorrow.

Below is a link to an article on drug penalties in Thailand. Given the severity of the penalties I’m amazed that people can get out of jail pending trail as the incentive would be to disappear.

Most mass murders have been built on this foundation at least for the last century.
It springs from having a view that the universe revolves around you. If things go right for you that is the way it is suppose to. If things go wrong for you it is because someone is screwing you over. And it must be the happy people who are responsible.

Thailand is not a Muslim majority country.
They also generally do not have middle names. Everyone does have a nick name, except the king.
