A video clip resurfaced Monday showing Pennsylvania U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman (D), who at the time of the clip was mayor of Braddock, vandalizing a sign belonging to a local business back in 2010.
The then-owner of Club 804, Assim Chaudhry, and someone who was interested in buying the club at the time, Cordell Collins, showed up to a local city council meeting with a laptop where they then played a video showing Fetterman vandalizing the sign, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported in 2010.
Video showed Fetterman changing the sign from saying, “Opening Soon Under New Management” to “Closed Not Opening Soon.”
“This is the mayor,” Chaudhry said at the city council meeting. “This is who you guys have running this town.”
Fetterman didn’t hide the fact that he did it as he bragged about it to a local news station saying that vandalizing the sign was his way of putting the club on notice that he was going to try to shut them down.

Seems like every day there’s something with Shrek. Does any of this stuff show up in non conservative media?
I don’t watch tv, so I don’t know. I’ve seen about equal Oz/Fetterman ads between YouTube videos.
OK it makes more sense as a change from “Opening Soon Under New Management” to “Closed Not Opening Soon.” than the gibberish I saw, must have paid attention to the messed up part and missed the other part.
I think this is a non-issue. There are legit reasons to think this guy should not be elected, I don’t think this is one of them.
A local elected official overtly and intentionally interfering in the ongoing business of a private enterprise for the stated purpose of shutting it down is a “non-issue”? NO, it is a tort for which he could be sued and held liable for damages.
That it was a black owned business is just one more example of this man’s overt hostility towards blacks in his official capacity as mayor.
It is an absolute issue-a very big absolute issue.
I have no idea what this “club” was, but this isn’t just vandalism... this is the mayor resorting to crime to threaten a business owner. If it’s what I’m guessing it was, I have no sympathies for the business owner, but still... this ain’t how you do it.
He got into the news a bunch of times for his marijuana and gay banners that he had hanging from his lt. gov. office on the outside. That really was all we heard about him for eons on the regular news. Then he started running for senate and built this persona of being Trumpier than Trump, and there were a fair few Fetterman fanboys on Freerepublic at that time. The California papers printed nice things about him, like all the fawning over Beto O’Rourke. These days there are a gazillion political ads, it wouldn’t be Pennsylvania if there wasn’t. Mostly what I’m seeing on the news is fact checking of the ads. I’m in a heavily Republican district and there are some Fetterman signs around, and absolutely no Oz signs around. It’s starting to go off the rails for Fetterman, but Oz’s snake oil thing is clearly depressing his numbers, as is the fact that he is betting big on celebrity type endorsements instead of going out and putting things like the police endorsing him front and center on his website. I really wish Jeff Bartos would have won the primary, but he wasn’t even close. It is what it is.
Fetterman is a piece of excrement. How different philosophy-wise is this from the things Antifa does?
It’s not how you do it, but it’s not as bad as the exceedingly well documented bannergate that dragged on for months, wasted people’s time, all for more virtue-signalling signs in an environment that already has zero lack of smug little “in this house we believe” signs.
I guess they aren’t going after that because “gay” and “marijuana”, both of which are untouchable as far as national gop is concerned, no matter how ridiculous and McCarthyite it all gets.
Oh no, they are going to instead rankle all the women because there’s a good electoral strategy no one ever said!
Thug.
Fetterman is a wangster. Rich white and plays ghetto. The black people of Braddock didn’t like the guy because all of his efforts were around bringing white hipsters to the hood. And he used his own money........basically Braddock was his own personal urban renewal project that if it worked, would have paid handsomely.
The guy is highly intelligent and knows exactly what he is doing. He knows he can make more money in politics than he can owning his daddy’s insurance company....where he would actually have to work.
I think this is a non-issue. There are legit reasons to think this guy should not be elected, I don’t think this is one of them.Thankfully you don't make those decisions for right thinking people.
Yep, I’m just a Pennsyltucky schmuck, watching dribs and dribbles come out in the press as November draws nigh. I’d help out by doing research for one of the voter guides, but I can’t because my boss is working my butt off at my job!
I have to say though, that my track record is still probably better than the well-heeled decisionmaker types who sold us down the river to China.
This is a black owned business vandalized by the same mayor who chased an innocent black guy down the street with a shotgun.
Just saw a devastating ad on Fetterman chasing that black man down. Blacks may not vote for OZ, but a lot may stay home. Must beat the fraud.
He is a thug. A lazy, incapacitated thug. He’ll be “perfect” for the Demoncrats if, (I pray not) he is elected.
“Does any of this stuff show up in non conservative media?” You mean the local TV evening “News” affiliates of ABC/NBC/CBS? Don’t make me laugh...
I can’t fathom how any sentient being could think that Shrek would be a good senator!
