I lost my concern when I read ...
“Tens of thousands of mosques around the Muslim-majority South Asian country have been asked to curtail the use of air conditioners to ease pressure on the electricity grid.”

Bangladesh has 150+ million people and is just under 60,000 sq miles in size.
That’s 2500 people per square mile. They are high on the list of population density for ‘large’ countries. There’s several others that are denser, but they are small by comparison.
India, which most people think of as crowded, has about 1.27 million square miles and a population of about 1.3 billion. That’s about 1,000 people per sq mile.
When the power goes out, population density matters.

Well, that should stop some of the online scammers for a little bit, anyway.

No A/C in Bangladesh will lead to tempers flaring, wives being beat, and rape victims yelling “B-a-a-a-a-a-a-a”.

This is not a big power outage in Bangladesh.
130 million people live in only a few square miles.... : )
