SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Congresswoman Liz Cheney will visit the University of Notre Dame on Oct. 14 to deliver a lecture on the future of democracy.

The lecture, titled “Saving Democracy by Revering the Constitution,” will take place at 2:30 p.m. in Washington Hall. The event is open to Notre Dame, Holy Cross, and Saint Mary’s students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Admission is free, but a ticket is required.

Cheney is Wyoming’s lone member of Congress in the U.S. House of Representatives. She sits on the House Armed Services Committee and also serves as the vice chair for the Jan. 6 committee.

From 2019 to 2021, Cheney served as the chair of the House Republican Conference, the third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives.

“Saving Democracy by Revering the Constitution”

Democracy isn’t mentioned in the Constitution.

A republican form of government is.

I remember when Notre Dame was an excellent Catholic school.
But then again, I remember when the military academies were also excellent.

These once conservative Catholic schools have all gone woke. Siena College in upstate NY has hit the skids as well.

plus many loons like Liz want to hamstring the Electoral College aspect of Presidential elections, so “revering the Constitution” is vary untrue.

Unfortunately, most people don’t know that.

To the rats, “democracy” is the freedom to vote . . . rat.

After that, everyone must sit down, shut up and obey the rat rulers.

The National Popular vote will complete the democratic destruction of republican self-government.

Peter Buttigig’s father was a professor there beginning in the 80s.

I guess she considers the unconstitutional incarceration of 900 people who were present at the Capitol on Jan 6 to protest a rigged election to be “revering the Constitution”.

She makes me physically ill.

Nope, it was Georgetown (Jesuit). Not that the Brothers of the Holy Cross are much better than Jesuits but different schools. The real difference is that Notre Dame had/has conservative students but the faculty has been liberal like most facutlties for a long time.
