I don't think this needs any explanation. That said, it is painful to watch...because Kamala is always painful to watch.

In her speeches, Kamala strikes me as a shallow, stupid person who "feels" like she is deep because she has smoked a lot of weed.

Yes. In fact, she is rather typical of that sort.
Her lack of intelligence was overlooked in favor of her willingness to sleep her way to the top.
The problem is, now that she is at the top, everyone can see that she circumvented the school of hard knocks that normally vets and prepares candidates for top jobs.
Now that the manure is hitting the fan, she's thinking to herself, "who can I sleep with to make these problems go away?"
