“We ran out of bourbon.”
With all the advance notice, I must cite you for monumental negligence.

You only had 18 hours worth of bourbon?
Very poor planning on your part, my friend.

If they showed up without bourbon to add I’d have to reconsider our friendship.
Just saying.

Is your bourbon dispensed electronically?

And when they can’t find something to spin/inflate, they just make stuff up.

BRANDON will go to the only place where power isn’t restored and compare it to Katrina.

Friends in Ft. Meyers about 6 blocks off the beach got their power back last night, water is still undrinkable. They're in a condo, remarkably their building and those around them were unscathed. Grocery stores, big box stores and gas stations were back up and running 100% yesterday.
Friends did say that some grocery items are out (most meats for example and many fresh vegetables) were out of stock as of yesterday, new shipments expected today. Stores should be back to 100% stocked by end of week if not sooner.

Got to admit, that was fast- based on how bad the storm was. I'd read today that the power grid in Florida has been strengthened over the years and while not "hurricane proof" quite yet, large swaths of it are.
DeSantis also said the other day that power is getting restored at the rate of @ 100,000 homes & businesses per hour.
That means the power restoration is going to be pretty darn quick when you think about all the destruction & flooding Ian caused.
Democrats everywhere are of course, saddened by that news.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this sobering experience.

Let this be a lesson to you: plan ahead next time. While everyone else is stocking up on milk, formula, diapers and beer (I grew up in FL, I know), hit the liquor store and clear out the top shelf bourbon. You’ll thank me.

Same thing was said about New Orleans after Katrina.
To: Codeflier
Manually.
Hey, I had two more bourbon drinkers show up before the hurricane hit.
Plus Publix already had a shortage of bourbon.
Still, my bad. Won’t happen next time.

My power was restored yesterday around dinner time. My Champion 3650 watt generator kept the fridge going and the lights on for just over three days and used 10 gallons of gas.
