Joe Biden’s cognitive deficits are increasingly apparent, even to the most amateur observer.
Whether he has dementia at this point is immaterial. Half the world thinks he does and that weakens the United States and imperils us all.
Whether he is falling up the stairs of Air Force One or falling off a stationary bike, whether he is wandering around on stage in a fog or clutching cheat sheets designed for a 4-year-old, whether he is shouting incoherently or whispering creepily, the optics are shocking.
With his 80th birthday approaching next month, even if most Americans are too polite or willfully unobservant to say so, it’s clear that Biden is not up to the world’s most difficult job.
He projects weakness and folly at a time of international turmoil. Disrespect for the president echoes around the world, among allies and enemies alike.

Not for this man, it isn't. Biden is, has been, and always will be, a lying, corrupt, arrogant, nasty man. He's spent 50 years in Washington enriching himself and doing absolutely nothing of any value or help to anyone but himself and his sick family.

We saw this with a loved one as well. Good hours and bad hours. Late in the day was worst (sundowning) and taking a walk or increasing hydration helped a bit. He seemed to have a mix of Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. I always figured that when we raised his hydration and blood pressure, a little more oxygen got through to his brain. By evening, his brain was just plain tired from fighting to function.
Drugs didn't help much. He had a succession of mini strokes and falls, and each time he had a step-down in function. I was really sad for him when this caused him to be fearful of his surroundings. He thought there were rats in the bathroom (so he was scared to use it) and that revolutionary organizers were plotting in the hallway of his nursing home. Drugs to calm him just made him a zombie. No easy answers.

Perhaps because they did get away with it. With the propaganda media and colluding Republicans on their side, they continue to do so. Dems seem completely ok with destroying the American economy, especially the private sector middle class. It is terrifying.
Agreed. Dementia sufferers also tend to lose their filters and say things that in better days they would have kept to themselves.
We had a relative who grew up in a very racist culture who when stricken with dementia used language that he never would have used when well. We were really concerned for his private duty nurse. He really liked her but referred to her in offensive terms. Amazingly she was able to overlook it because she'd experienced this repeatedly. She was at his funeral and seemed very broken up at his death.
Even obama said, "never underestimate Joe's ability to f--- things up."

Joe was never the brightest bulb on the tree, but I don’t think he won the award for stupidest in the U.S. Senate during his time there—what was it 700 years? He does seem to be functionally innumerate and remarkably never is called out on it.
They will turn on Biden because they would blame him for the loss of both houses. They would make sure he is replaced.
