Twenty-seven House Democrats have joined a growing chorus of voices calling for the resignation of World Bank chief David Malpass after he made comments that critics say smacked of climate denial.
In a letter sent Thursday to President Biden, representatives Jared Huffman (D-Calif.), Sean Casten (D-Ill.) and 25 other Democrats said Malpass’s recent comments were both “troubling” and “unacceptable” and that the World Bank should have a “leader who listens to the science and is a global leader in combating climate change.”
“We urge you to advocate for the removal or forced resignation of David Malpass as World Bank Group President. The facts are clear that we are in a climate crisis and there’s no alternative but to take bold action,” the lawmakers wrote.

That article kills any thought of planetary warming from any cause apart from the inter-glacial period we are in. Think about it. If there is absolutely no sign of an acceleration of sea level rise how could the planet be warming? The rise in sea level in the last 100 years is far less than the average over the last 18,000 years caused by the inter-glacial period we are in.

Where is this clear and convincing evidence of man-made climate change? They can’t prove it but you can’t challenge their lunatic theories.
What we DO have is clear and convincing evidence of man-made tyranny using fear-mongering. They have to control your life and the lives of everyone on Earth but they can’t provide facts or data to justify such ruthless tyranny requiring massive suffering by billions of people forced back into the dark ages by the hysteria of climate tyrants.

He should have said “we are not yet as high as the temperatures of the last interglacial period, and the next truly big volcano could even cool us down. So, I am not sure.” That would have really set ‘em off, despite being 100% accurate.
There are 2,000 scientists who say that so-called “climate change” is bullcrap.
Well... There is good evidence that poor farming practices in a cyclical cool-wet / hot-dry historical pattern created “The Dust Bowl” which fed back on itself causing even warmer temperatures and worsened drought. (Drought tends to beget drought until something overrides it.)
In effect, the 1930’s were an abnormality beyond the usual cycles that humans DID enhance. Now that we know better how to retain soil moisture and slow winds (my Dad was involved in optimizing design of windbreaks in Kansas in the late 50’s and 60’s), a repeat should not occur unless Mo’ Nature throws us some other curve not part of the usual cycles. But, since a human caused abnormality was involved in the ‘30’s...
A) That data isn’t really relevant to temperature comparisons, except as an aberration.
B) Humans CAN change the climate over significant areas.
Whether me driving my Chevy Tahoe is a bad thing is a different discussion. :-)
