Adding line items on receipts will not do any good. I am sure there are many others like me who do not ask for a receipt after filling up.

Stfu newsome. I lived in Socal (unfortunately) for 4 years and left in 2017. Nothing has changed one bit. The three oil companies that control that crap are all in on it. Chevron. Tesoro. Velero. And they just buy off crooked politicians of which there are plenty esp in SoCal. *I suspect that Chevron will change its name eventually to “El Chevron” or something similar. Newsome is right where he wants to be...in the pocket of big oil.

2. Blame pathologies of problem you create on bogeyman (Big Oil, Putin, Oil Market Speculators).
3. Make problem worse (price controls, more regulation, windfall profits tax, etc.)

It’s about control, but more importantly it’s about the government directing commerce and overriding free markets forcing people into a product that would fail in the free market today. They created a fake problem with climate change, created a fake solution and then tax us for billions and billions that gets funneled to liberal run fake businesses, chinese manufactures, and to the pockets of the corrupt liberal scum like Biden and Obama and all the rest of them.
