If I the wall were to keep New Yorkers in I’d be all for it.
This is every damn day where I teach. We are a smaller Indiana school and we have about 100 Spanish speakers (out of 1200 students). They get put on a ILP (Individualized Language Plan) with accommodations like, “Gets to use notes on test” or “Get’s copy of teachers notes”. It’s awful.
We get kids that don’t speak English or Spanish, but some obscure Mayan language that there is no translator for. We get told just to “pass them along”. It’s ridiculous. Send them back.
And I just want to add, every year we teachers in Indiana get asked to participate in migrant schools that the state of Indiana keeps secret. These are schools that only Spanish speakers and Hispanics who are from south of the border get to go to. No Whites. No Blacks. No Puerto Ricans. Illegals.

They aren’t citizens.
They’re just opening their mouths, but not their homes or wallets.
The young people that I went to school with in ChemE and EE were intelligent, hard working, and normal.
The girls with purple hair are competent, just look at the Rust armorer…

Let’s send some more. Let them see how it is when illegals overwhelm your borders and subsequently your schools, emergency rooms and other public services.
The school district makes big $$$ off of the higher head count.
The school board progs called you RAZZZIST because that is all they can do, they have no excuse or reason they would actually admit to for what they are doing which is making money off of the Mexican kids.

The current situation is the tip of the iceberg. Many millions more on the way.
No doubt there are some normal ones, but not enough. Look at the student debt problem. The reason that so many of them can’t pay it pack is that they didn’t get a degree in a marketable field. Who wants to hire a graduate in medieval literature? Black studies? Gender studies? 19th century European history? Etc.
I should have clarified, STEM and IT graduates.

Destroyed the schools in California. NY needs to get on board the madness train.
Whatever you may think of the "migrant" situation, education in NYC public schools is not being harmed because is it already dead and has been for a while.
