I was fired from my nursing job this year for refusing to take “implicit bias” training. After 39 years of providing equal care to all my patients without regard to their race, I objected to a mandatory course grounded in the idea that I’m racist because I’m white. I fear every healthcare professional will soon be forced to make the same awful decision I did: Falsely admit to being racist or abandon the medical field.
My ordeal started in September 2021 when my employer, Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health, rolled out its annual training modules for clinical educators. The list included “Overcoming Unconscious Bias.” After viewing the interactive course, I contacted my supervisor and asked for a meeting with the chief nursing officer and the human resources director. The former sent a surrogate; the latter didn’t attend. After two meetings, it was clear that I wouldn’t be given an exemption. My supervisor told me, “I don’t want you to die on this cross.”
But I did. The idea of implicit bias is grounded in the belief that white people treat those who aren’t white worse than those who are. It’s part of the woke assumption that society, including healthcare, suffers from “systemic racism.” Accordingly, my own supposed implicit bias, which is a euphemism for ingrained racism, must be rooted out. Not only that, it must be replaced with preferential treatment for the nonwhite. I fail to see how real racial discrimination is justified by my nonexistent racism.
I knew it was coming, but I was still devastated when I was fired in February. I went from a six-figure job to zero income. The day I was fired I sold my car to make sure I’d have enough money to live on.

They are bringing in 10s of thousands of foreign nurses to replace those who were fired for not being jabbed.
They are not hiring back the former fired nurses who are citizens and live right here.
They are bringing in the foreign nurses, and their families and in 2 years will naturalize the entire family.
This is replacement ideology. Its happening now.

How do I put this succinctly? We can’t find much in the way of explicit bias to fight to strut our virtue feathers. So, we may as well create implicit bias, kind of a ghost bias that is inhabiting your being unbeknownst to you and slay that dragon by boring it and you to death in mandatory ghostbuster classes.

What such articles share is they define "Whiteness" not by skin color, but by being part of a designated "oppressor group." Jews and Latinos increasingly claim that because they belong to "historically oppressed groups," they are, by definition, non-white.
Other BIPOC members disagree.

My lovely wife is a critical care R that works in a predominately black populated area and I have NEVER heard her say a single word regarding the color of a patients skin.
I enlisted to kill Communists, just like my Dad did. You order me to “confess” to anything, and you will be instructed where to shove it. At a bare minimum. Other more practical responses come to mind as well.
If they are, then where are they? All I hear about is overstretched and quitting hospital staff and collapsing health care systems.

They have started to do this. Its just begun. So they are not here in great numbers, yet. But this has begun. The earliest stories began jan feb timeframe, the ones talking about citizenship in two years for the whole family are more recent.

It is all the same color on the inside. I am out of the workforce so I cannot do anything about what is going on except to say wake me when the shooting starts. It may seem crazy but each day I think we are getting closer to that point sorry to say.
Eventually it’s going to be a war between the brown folks arriving and the black folks. Surprised it has taken this long.
Might want to rethink that thought ….. I read and hear “reverse” racism constantly from those practicing racism as their reason for being racist. I realize racism is racism, as do you, and the media chooses distortion rather than fact to promote hate amongst the People, a form of reverse racism. Can’t control US if they can’t confuse US
When you give jobs, promotions, university admissions, and benefits based on race, you pit race against race.
Many Hollywood productions, Netflix, the Academy Awards, are instituting diversity quotas.
I read an article about its impact. It cited one unnamed talent agent who was advising her white clients to change their last names to something Hispanic, because then it'd be easier for them to get roles.
This will cause resentment between Hispanics with Hispanic names, Hispanics with non-Hispanic names, and newly minted Hispanics-In-Name-Only.
I had a conversation online - said we had a business and treated employees based on job performance - it didn't matter what color you were - it was good business to promote those who did a good job. We actually had a way of quantifying this. So I got a reply that said you must have unconscious bias and she said a bunch of other BS with the popular words these days. I thought what does it matter what I thought - they were evaluated and got bonuses based on what they did. Then I looked at her bio - she apparently makes money preaching this BS.
