probably the biggest promulgator of the PLO and anti westernism was a guy by the name of Edward Said. He was a professor at columbia. but at least during the 70’s and 80’s the muslims were not a big force there. In the 70’s the Iranian were a significant force until the shah was kicked out. then they disappeared.
columbia completely screwed me up for decades. I would say it took a condo’s worth of beer to get the garbage I learned there out of my head. then I had to come to Jesus to get the beer out at age 40. Props for AA and a change of cities.

Are you old enough to remember old-time "kayfabe" professional wrestling? Logically the "heels" should have been at each other's throats (each one claimed to be "the greatest of all time"), but they only feuded with "babyfaces," not each other.
My personal theory is that it's inverted chrstianity. Whatever "chrstianity" (which only means white people, apparently) is for they are against, and whatever it is against they are for. To the Left the islam is just another de-criminalized sin (like homosexuality), and all de-criminalized sins must be supported and defended, even if they're contradictory to each other.
None of us knows how we will respond in such a situation until we actually are.
We can train for it, we can imagine it, we can run endless scenarios in our minds, but...
If they are foreign students here on student visas, deport them.
My alma mater. I had great Jewish friends and professors there in the 80s. I heard speakers from both ends of the political spectrum. But some of the students arrived there ready to squelch speech they didn’t like. I was shocked the first time I heard students hiss in class when the professor said something politically incorrect. It was something not even middle school students would do, I thought. So, now they are getting rid of speakers before they have something to hiss about. This is shameful.
And the mindless students simply went along.

Basically your statement is correct. The goal of lily white upper middle and upper class woke communists is bluntly to ‘kill whitey’. These people believe that normal, straight, white , middle class Americans are the great problem of history. This group is patriotic, religious, culturally normative, and embraces the work ethic, individual responsibility, strong nuclear families and classic ‘gentlemanly’ personal conduct. Al of this has to be destroyed to enable the borderless open world to occur. In this regime white identity must be ended because it threatens all other ‘good’ identities. Structured morality oposes the ‘sex positive’ lifestyle which can basically be summed up two phrases; anything goes and ‘if it feels good do it’. Social justice is a big part of this mindset in which everyone with a dark skin is perpetually owed because of ‘historical crimes’ by whitey. This is a recipe for a hobbesian world, but the woke communists, just like the original Leninists only see that they will create a ‘radiant future’ utopia pretty much summed up in the song ‘Imagine’. Ideas, no matter how malevolent their outcomes are the hardest things to defeat.
