A Russian airstrike has destroyed a humanitarian convoy in southern Ukraine leaving dozens of civilians dead and wounded, Ukrainian officials said today.
Images show how a single rocket landed close to a queue of cars waiting at a checkpoint as they drove out of the Ukrainian-controlled city of Zaporizhzhia into nearby Russian-occupied territory in the early hours of Friday, shredding the vehicles with shrapnel.
At least 25 people were killed in the strike and another 50 wounded, the prosecutor's office said. Oleksandr Starukh, the Zaporizhzhia regional governor, said all of the victims were civilians who were driving into Russian-occupied territory to distribute aid and to try and get their relatives out.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko, one of Zelensky's senior advisers, said Russia had fired a total of 16 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles at Ukrainian territory, four of which landed - destroying the queue of cars along with a nearby car market.
The attack took place just hours before a speech by Vladimir Putin in which he will announce Zaporizhzhia - along with Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions - are being annexed to Russia under the guise of protecting them.
And it came as Putin's propagandists used their state TV platforms to insist that Russia's nuclear arsenal is in full working order, after the despot threatened to use them to defend the 'new territories'.

Under Russia and then soviets millions of Ukrainians Latvians Lithuanians and Estonians we killed or displaced and replaced by Russians so by that logic once a majority of areas in the US are Mexican nationals they can hold a referendum? Of course you are correct. But what Putin saw was a Ukraine that was moving out of the Russian economic sphere, and into the EU economic sphere. A Ukraine that would become wealthier for its citizens, than Russian citizens. This would shame Putin and Russia.
Putin invaded Crimea to stop Ukraine and Shell oil explorations in the Northern Black Sea. That Ukraine would become an oil and gas supplier to Europe, thus competing with Russia.
Lastly, Ukraine applied for NATO membership, but this was killed by Germany and France. Because they were/are addicted to cheap Russian gas. That they bought at the equivalent of $20/ barrel of oil.

They expect us to believe Russia attacked a convoy of civilians heading for refuge in Russia, in a province that by an 85% vote will be declared part of Russia today or soon. How stupid does the Kiev propo operation think we are.
The Convoy had large signs marked “Children”. I highly doubt Russia needed to do this, they are winning after all. According to other reports not tainted by western Psy ops, the Ukrainians did it themselves. There are all kinds of outrage and investigations into this war crime as it is beyond the pail. It seems just another false flag by Zelinsky, just as the theater in Marioupol, the Russian prisoner of war camp, shooting in the legs and executing Russian soldiers on social media, the Ghost of Kiev, the massacre in the city of Dobra, the bombing of Zaporizshia NPP....no, from the track record of Ukraine and increasing unrest and desertion in it’s ranks, Ukraine is the more likely culprit. Again, for what purpose would Russia have for doing this when they are winning. If people think the Kharkov offensive by the Ukrainians was a turning point for them, they have been successfully misled. Look where they are now. Lookat a myriad of sources and you will see they went nowhere and in fact the front line has been fortified and pushed ahead towards the Ukrainian forces. The biggest false flag of all, which Ukraine didn’t even have the smarts to pull off and had to just sit back and watch, was the recent destruction of the NordStream pipelines through US machinations, I think most likely from mk 48 ADCAP torpedoes shot from a fast attack Submarine or mk 50’s launched from a surface ship. For Russia to false flag itself like this is suicide for them, they aren’t that stupid or desperate.
