Every major car company makes EV’s now, some cost less than $30k. But I am never buying one. I can’t even remember to charge my phone battery on time. I can visualize me stranded somewhere with dead battery. And then the car will need to be towed to the nearest charging station.

Don’t worry. You probably won’t be stranded too far away from home and you’ll be able to walk home. You might even be able to borrow some extension cords.
My biggest issue with EVs is that .gov is trying to cram them down my throat.
Even if they were the greatest invention ever made I would still hate them for that reason alone.
