Don't forget, they're getting paid really well. Millions of dollars. Back in Bird, Magic and Jordan's day, all of the players had to grind a bit. I think that kept them grounded. And they were hungry.
The international stars didn't grow up in the U.S. so they are more grateful for what they get when they come to the league to play ball. So I respect them.
But I'm not watching NBA. Not a fan of the product. It used to be fun to watch. It's no longer the case today. Just my two cents.
Agree with everything you said. Plus the USA born star players get pampered even in high school giving them a sense of entitlement before they even begin college ball let alone the NBA.
