Asia’s richest man (world's 3rd richest) sees growing isolation for China

Indian billionaire Gautam Adani says that China “will feel increasingly isolated” and the “foremost champion of globalization” would find it hard to bounce back from a period of economic weakness.

Speaking at a conference in Singapore on Tuesday, Adani said “increasing nationalism, supply chain risk mitigation, and technology restrictions,” as well as resistance to Beijing’s huge Belt and Road initiative, would impact China’s global role.

Asia’s richest man said that “housing and credit risks” in the world’s second largest economy were also “drawing comparisons with what happened to the Japanese economy during the ‘lost decade’ of the 1990s.”

Adani also mentioned the challenges facing the United Kingdom, and countries in the European Union, because of the war in Ukraine and Brexit.

“While I expect all these economies will readjust over time — and bounce back — the friction of the bounce-back looks far harder this time,” he said.

resistance to Beijing’s huge Belt and Road initiative, would impact China’s global role.

Has anyone on FR thought about this before? Anyone home at the CIA, or are you infringing on Americans constitutional rights again? Get to eff’n work and blow/burn/resist. There’s something like eight counties that have military bases in Djibouti, one of China’s hubs into Africa. Don’t tell me that you can’t make it look like someone else was “resisting”. (Note: the Belt and Road initiative is a pet peeve of mine. I’ve never heard anyone in our government talk about it’s danger to US interests and businesses. It’s a big eff’n deal.)

The richest neighborhood in USA is surround DC. The swamp is busy counting their coins to worry about Belt and Road initiative.

May be, just may be, if enough Americans suffer from the inflation and taxes (you get a raise to help with inflation and you go into higher tax bracket), they might wake up. But I am not going hold my breath.
