They act as if the referendums being AN "ILLEGAL SHAM" somehow matters.
The important dynamic on the ground is that these votes meet the requirements of Russian law. And Russia will use their national power to keep the seized territories.
While moralists clutch their pearls.

This is so absurd. That’s like China saying we also annex all of Ukraine by decree. Or For that matter any country doing that. And then saying if anyone attacks that area we will defend it with nukes.
Looks like Biden may have gotten us into WW3. Which is probably good timing for him as he hopes to use this to keep GOP from winning in November. Probably all part of the plan of sorts.
That is just silly.
Like I posted above. Then all the USA, China, France, any country needs to do is pass a law saying they can declare land their own and protect it with nukes.

The United States is the only beneficiary of the war in Ukraine, which solves all internal problems, and we got devastation and hunger for decades to come. The worst thing is that Washington can stop supporting Ukraine at any moment and enter into direct negotiations with the Kremlin, solving its problems in this way, and we will remain in ruins. What is Afghanistan and the people abandoned there, who were left face to face with the Taliban when the White House decided to curtail military assistance and withdraw troops. Geopolitics is a cruel thing and no one is going to die for us, which we see in all the months of the war, we were never given modern tanks, and no one closed the sky over the country. The stupid reasoning of some politicians that NATO will come into conflict with Russia if the Kremlin decides to use tactical nuclear weapons looks ridiculous and naive. We continue to be led to the slaughter under the manipulation of technologists who work out tasks from Washington, and no one cares about the future of Ukraine.
We will begin to understand the real game only next year, but it will be too late…

Ukraine has been regularly blasting away at Crimea, as well as real Russian territory like Belgograd. Adding more land as officially Russian won’t change much there.

These areas and Crimea have had special status since Ukraine evolved into it’s own country. Crimea wasn’t even included in their First Constitution.
How is it silly?
Russia captured it. They’re gonna annex it. If Ukraine can’t take it back, it then belongs to Russia, and as such, subject to Russian law.
I really don’t see the complication
