I slightly favor the Russian black op theory over any other, simply because NATO or the USA (or Britain, France, any other actor in that alliance) really gains nothing by blowing up these pipelines. As stated above, Putin does gain a pretext for taking action against western economic interests.

However, since the CIA warned Germany about this possibility, you would have to suppose that they have been watching the pipeline waters and may have some evidence to bring forward. Of course that will lead to more claims and counter-claims of who is lying and who is telling the truth.

People are dug into two different narratives and will not easily be dislodged from either of them. I am trying to keep an open mind without just being an airhead. And I am no big fan of any of the following — Biden, globalism, the EU, or for that matter Putin. If they could all lose this war while the Ukrainian people somehow won, that would be ideal but not sure how that might happen.

Dems immediately used this crisis to cover up their inflation. The dems I know are talking about how wonderful Biden has been to lower gas prices even in the midst of a war. Biden came out and said this war will cost Americans.
When the globalists replace Putin, they will have access to all the vast natural resources of Russia.
Biden said it, and was called senile,,, this was always about regime change in Russia.
Imagine the wonderful person to be installed.
These people and their agenda will sacrifice however many Ukrainians, Americans or anyone other than themselves to get these resources.
They have everything to gain.
For the same reason Obama started a pipeline war in Syria, placing our troops a stones throw from a russian base established in the 70s.

The PLO tactics of showing bodies of women and children, real or not, are being used once more, with a dose of Covid tactics.

Personally, I favour the USA as the war party has the most to gain by driving the crisis forward. Certainly, no one in Europe gains anything. Russia, I wouldn't have thought needs any provocation/false flag; they will do what they do regardless (it is being suggested the Russians are intending this as a false flag to go to tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine).
Guess we will find out in a few days.
There is also the question of who is out of pocket by $200m+ (the value of the gas in pipelines before they were reptured - not how much of that can be saved).
