In the Russian nationalist mind, Russia must keep what it conquers. The existence of the individual depends on the existence of the collective. The existence of the collective depends on retention of its national greatness. National greatness depends on conquering and keeping conquered lands and peoples. It's far more complicated than that. Might go further into it sometime. Here's what happened today.

I don’t know how anyone can back Russia using nukes, when
the Ukraine did not attack Russia. The Ukraine hasn’t
threatened to attack Russia, and isn’t preparing to do
that.

Russia doing it because it is failing to win the war easily,
is terribly wrong. I would think anyone could see that.

It’s shocking to me that some folks will swear they don’t.
