Chris Wallace’s new CNN show struggled to get any viewers during its Sunday debut, new ratings data shows, according to reports.
Wallace’s show, “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace,” raked in just 401,000 viewers Sunday night, down 29% from the 2022 average for the 7:00 p.m., time slot, data from Nielsen Media Research shows, according to the New York Post (NYP). Just 44,000 between the ages of 25-54 demographic tuned in, down 64% from the average, according to the report.
In comparison, Fox News’ “Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy” brought in 1.3 million viewers during the same time slot including 78,000 people between the ages of 25-54, according to the NYP. An unidentified source from CNN told The Post that “live domestic TV viewers represent only a fraction of its intended audience.”
Meanwhile a spokesperson for the outlet told The Post that Wallace’s show “premiered on HBO Max on Friday with three fantastic episodes and was promoted throughout the weekend to HBO Max’s massive subscriber base.”
“CNN viewers also had the opportunity to view the best moments from the HBO Max episodes on Sunday night.”
“We’re thrilled with the launch and Chris’s news-making interviews,” the representative reportedly continued.
Wallace left Fox News after nearly two decades in December, saying it was “unsustainable” to work there after the 2020 election.
“I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion,” Wallace told The New York Times. “But when people start to question the truth — who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection? — I found that unsustainable. I spent a lot of 2021 looking to see if there was a different place for me to do my job.”
Wallace said he was “thrilled to join CNN+” and “explore the world of streaming.”
The streaming service was canceled less than a month after debuting.
I like to put a local spin on viewers, such as how many people in Pennsylvania watched Wallace. PA has 12.3 million citizens, the US has 330 million. PA’s population is 3.7% of the US population. 3.7% of 401,000 is 14,946. That’s pathetic.
There were ratings?

You can’t shame these left wingers. The truth is what they will it to be.
All airport waiting area TVs counted.
Chrissy is like a lot of the “elite” class. He can’t dare admit the possibility that a Presidential election can be stolen in the United States. Oh no! That is for those Banana Republic types down in South America, or Eastern Europe. But not us.
Same with Chris Christy, William Barr and others. To even admit the possibility is an anethema to them.
I do not know for sure the election was stolen. I suspect it was, strongly. But that is why you do audits. And if your system is so screwed up and varies so much from place to place that audits are not practical, then that is a problem in and of itself.
If Republicans truly do not think elections can be stolen, then why are they for Voter ID???
401,000 people asleep in airport lounges waiting for their red-eye flight to L.A. or SF...................
😆
Chris Wallace will be remembered as the whiny bitch who moderated a Trump/Biden debate.
All the news stations FOX, CNN, etc have to be losing alot of viewers as we all switch to streaming. Fox doesn’t have it’s own app to stream so i can’t watch anymore and i know this is true for many. When are they going to go solo and live stream?
Way too many Chrissies in the “yellowstream media”.
From the age stats, it looks like most of the over 55 crowd with dementia watched this ditz.
