You're right, Qaz. The rallies are powered by Trump's strength as a leader -- his utter fearlessness to attack his opponents.
Remember when Trump torpedoed McCain, the guy who paid ghost writers to make himself out to be America's greatest "war hero"? It was early in the 2016 campaign and Trump merely said, "I like people that weren't captured". McCain was dead meat ever since -- and then ISIS's favorite U.S. Senator died 3 years later.
Trump is THE Big Whale Hunter of politics. He hunts Deep State Leviathans, harpoons them, and hauls their carcasses back to Nantucket for canning, whale oil, and carved ivory combs for the ladies.
DeSantis? He sends a few Guatemalan flunkies to Martha's Vineyard. That's clever and it stirs up the newspapers, but which Uniparty politician's reputation was hung up to dry? Name one.

Forgive me for being an FR no-show the past few weeks. But my wife and have been busy this summer. We sold our house in Georgia and packed up for east Asia. My wife is a former Japanese national and so we hope to ultimately settle in Nippon -- if the immigration authorities are kind.
For the next few months, though, we rented an apartment in Hanoi, on the West Lake district where many foreigners live. Viet Nam is a fascinating place and the contrasts are immensely interesting. I'll be posting a vanity soon on my observations. All the best!
