My sister was caught in one, when she was visiting a city. She said that it was weird hearing 8 hours of a freight train coming from direction and then, after the eye passed, 8.hours of another freight train coming seemingly from the other direction.
I can’t do anything about the lives and property destroyed. But it would help outsiders understand what is happening.
Contrary to the protestations of some on here, Florida is not the only place hit by these storms. I rode out Sandy in Maryland, and while our winds didn’t quite hit hurricane strength, that’s basically what it sounded like: a constant thundering, like a freight train.
What’s there to understand? It’s destruction everywhere and no safe place to hide. Power is out for sometimes weeks, roads impassable, debris, damage, fallen trees, water everywhere. Fly down today and stay somewhere in the path of this storm. You’ll love it! 🙄. Good lord….
