I get just as tired of hearing and seeing America being torn down and not a single arrest/prosecution and imprisonment occurs.
The News is showing 6 potential paths of a computer generated graphic about where, when and how much will occur FIVE FRIKKIN' DAYS IN ADVANCE.
Reminds me of the Faulkland Islands reporting, or Elian Gonzalez.
America is about to disappear sand I'd rather hear about militia movements in my neighborhood I can join up with.
My current projections show Jax at 20-30 MPH winds with this one. The worst stuff appears to be west of there centered on Central to Western Georgia.

NHC 2am has it tracking further to the east. Grazing Tampa. So a significant event for WC FL.

For Jacksonville that will depend on the storm surge.
Right now Tampa is predicted to get 8” of rain and 80 to 100 mph winds.....not great but it won’t be a cat 3 or 4 as some on this thread are suggesting.
Its been a dry hurricane season so now that there is one some folks seem to wanna exaggerate what it actually is.
Joe Bastardi and Tropical Tidbits have the track shifting to the east, bad news for Tampa area. Big Bend still a possibility, but would weaken before landfall.

That will keep this storm from being worse than it otherwise would be.
One thing I wish meteorogists would do is install sturdy cameras to catch a hurricane in real time so those of us outside hurricane zones could see a storm in real time.
For an antidote to the climate doomers, Joe Bastardi. He even had a minor rant in his Saturday Summary about how many more major hurricanes there were in the first half of the 20th century vs. 2nd half + early 21st century. See my post #30 for links.
I understand your concern. Please understand that many people’s lives will be impacted by this storm. Your fellow Freepers, my family members and friends included. I wish them all the best of luck and that they execute(d) all their emergency plans without mishap.
If you don’t like what’s going on change the channel; there’s plenty of other discussions going on.
Why not go get involved in the vaccine war or the Ukraine war and if you really want to fight go get involved in the religious wars. All of that and you don’t have leave FR.

Yes, and the latest Tropical Tidbits goes into it, too. If it hits south of Tampa, as shown in one model, it will be stronger, but if it continues north toward the Big Bend will weaken significantly. Troughs look to be pushing it eastward, making landfall around Tampa more likely.
It’s been a dry hurricane season my friend......now that there is one some people are gonna try to make a bigger deal out of it than it probably will be.
