Voting in internationally criticised referendums for four Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories to become part of Russia has continued into its third day despite shelling by Ukrainian forces.

Check out my reply to the propagandist cheerleader Widget Jr in #39.
Some shelling? Perhaps. Both sides shelling each other. You are fulminating as though it is widespread.
Pffft. These occurred well before February 2022 and A and B preceded the taking of Crimea:
A.) Bush [a problem starter as usual]: Strong Support for Ukraine in NATO
B.) John McCain Addresses Ukranian Protesters in Ukraine [also a Neocon troublemaker who roused the rabble while onstage with your buddies Democrat Chris Murphy and Obama regime Nuland]
Followed by this:
C.) Obama Openly Admits ‘Brokering Power Transition’ in Ukraine
The following is said by many to have caused the taking of Crimea:
D) Salon
3/10/22
“Ukraine’s neo-Nazi Svoboda Party and its founders, Oleh Tyahnybok and Andriy Parubiy, played leading roles in the U.S-backed coup in February 2014. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and U.S. ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt mentioned Tyahnybok as one of the leaders they were working with in their infamous leaked phone call before the coup, even as they tried to exclude him from an official position in the post-coup government.
...it was Yarosh who took to the stage in the Maidan and rejected the Feb. 21, 2014 agreement negotiated by the French, German and Polish foreign ministers, under which President Viktor Yanukovych and opposition political leaders agreed to hold new elections later that year. Instead, Yarosh and Right Sector refused to disarm and led the climactic march on Parliament that overthrew the government.
... 2014, Nuland and the State Department got their favorite, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, installed as prime minister of the post-coup government.”

Gravitas Plus: Did NATO Push Ukraine Into War?
“...Palki Sharma tells you how western arrogance and NATO expansionism are also to blame, how their actions precipitated the crisis in Ukraine”
“Again, using Brave or Duckduckgo (among others) and typing in the search term “Ukraine ‘shells’ occupied areas amid vote” (the title for this article) will yield multiple results and they are western, MSM news sources results, and hardly outlets or shills for TASS.”
I use Bing and here are the results. They don’t support your blabberings -— https://www.bing.com/search?q=Ukraine+%E2%80%98shells%E2%80%99+occupied+areas+amid+vote&PC=U316&FORM=CHROMN
Using quotes in the above search, all I get are clones of the same article, same source.
FAIR.org
Media Support ‘Self-Determination’ for US Allies, Not Enemies

And thus you will either get lies from the MSM or little to no reports at all on issues like this.
To dennisw
Western MSM is more often than not clone-based, genius.
All you did is show some pice and make a fool out of yourself by failing to recognize western MSM is based off of cloning and secondly by failing to back up Widget Jr’s and your own contentions by showing the ultimate source for all of them and all the story is TASS.
TASS provided a scant part of it but ultimately is was AAP and Reuters.
Just accept that the EU and others are inconsistent hypocrites.
Also:
The ultimate source for all of this and those who reported on it wasn’t TASS.
Again, TASS provided a scant part of it but ultimately is was AAP and Reuters.
Just accept that the EU and others are inconsistent hypocrites.
Lastly, as a side note, I have never used TASS as a main source for an article but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is far more reliable than libtards CNN, MSNBC, WaPo, NYT, France 24, DW, etc, or tabloid Daily Mail.
One last thing:
By looking at the various reports that were all posted online under “Ukraine ‘shells’ occupied areas amid vote” they each vary to some degree on the info they provide, but voting areas were getting shelled, and TASS didn’t provide all of the info related to shelled referenda areas in the articles.
Adios!
Boomer, looking over your post history I will assume that on Ukraine we can disagree honestly, in good faith even if testily. That courtesy no longer extends to IAOE for what I will explain, so please bear with me.
"Wrong." What IAOE left off:
The hastily convened polls were taking place in the eastern regions of Luhansk and Donetsk as well as in Zaporizhzhya and Kherson in the south, with authorities the Luhansk city of Alchevsk even saying voting could take place in bomb shelters.According to the pro-Russian authorities, two people died in a hotel near Kherson in a missile attack.
Meanwhile, in the city of Enerhodar in the Zaporizhzhya region, a polling station had to be moved to another location due to massive shelling from the Ukrainian side,Russian state news agency TASS reported.
"Again, using Brave or Duckduckgo (among others) and typing in the search term “Ukraine ‘shells’ occupied areas amid vote” (the title for this article) will yield multiple results and they are western, MSM news sources results, and hardly outlets or shills for TASS."
Yarrawonga Chronicle took the article of the Australian AP news wire, which used TASS as one of the sources. All the news agencies running it are running the same story, because it was straight from AP wire news service. Since AP stories are often available for a limited time on news sites, and pages get edited and updated, it can be necessary to use google cache or the archive.org to find the original. What you will find is, this story is a Australian AP wire story run on multiple outlets.
Search for a continual string of words like "According to the pro-Russian authorities, two people died in a hotel near Kherson in a missile attack." will find the whole article or a piece of it under a different title. That's how AP wire and journalistic attribution works. Also, duckduckgo does not have a cache function like google.
Now lets look at what else was in the article was from tass.com.
First day of referendums held in Donbass and liberated territories:"people had to vote in a bomb shelter"
Kherson hotel attacked on tip-off by NATO, say law enforcement authorities : "As a result of the attack, according to preliminary data, two people were killed."
Everything before the declaration TASS was used was from TASS.
TASS has a long history and reputation of being one of the Russian government's combined news service, propaganda and espionage agencies.
"You are a propagandist, a poor one at that, so I hope you aren't being paid too much."
For reading the article and knowing how to look up online sources, IAOE called me a propagandist and tried to send me on a wild goose chase. Now why would he do that?
Scant as you say. So don’t get hysterical about any shelling. Its the norm out there.
That’s a lie buddy boy
the DNR reported to the Kremlin that the killings had ended in 2019. And were still saying that in January this year.
Putinistas have never provided any information to contradict the DNR ombudsman. They never did back up their accusations in February of ongoing genocide in DPR/LPR with any evidence at all.
They’ve also made repeated claims that Ukraine was ABOUT TO do stuff that then didn’t happen because it was never gonna happen.
Putinistas also claimed that the two Mariupol hospitals were nonoperational, had been emptied of patients and staff, and had been converted into Azov Nazi bases. That also turned out to be a complete lie.
So no, you are wrong.
Russia started the war by invading in 2014
Russia shelled Zaporizhzhia city after preventing it from having a single vote in this sham referendum. Russia also shelled a building in occupied Zaporizhzhia because the occupants refused to go put and vote.
Not only that, the only way Russia can control the city after this sham referendum is to bomb it to smithereens and send tens of thousands of soldiers in to mop up what’s left.
Ukraine is witnessing a clear attempt by Russia to legitimise the destruction of the Oblast capital. The population of Zaporizhzhia city is thinking it’ll be worse than Mariupol; they are absolutely terrified.
My mailbox on a humanitarian support group is full of parents in the city begging for charities to help get their children out before Russia declares the result. One mother wrote, “They are not voting in a referendum, they are signing our death warrant”.
Russia could, inside a week, declare the entire population of Zaporizhzhia city to be enemy combatants and just bomb it to pieces for no reason other than it’s completely under Ukrainian control with no separatist movement ever gaining a foothold.
According to sources on the Russian side yesterday, just over 50% of those allowed to vote (in Russia, Kherson, and Russian held areas of Zaporizhzhia and the Donbas) have done so but the elegible voters constitute at most 60% of the population of Zaporizhzhia Oblast in January 2022.
If that doesn’t improve Russia will effectively be calling a 30% vote for annexation with 40% not even allowed to vote, a thumping majority.
We still have no idea what Russia is planning to do with the 700,000 Zaporizhzhia city residents and refugees who were prevented from voting.
The optimist in me thinks Russia will take all of the LDNR but pitch a partition of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. Take the deal, or kiss goodbye to two whole cities.
The soldiers must be going into peoples apartment buildings to be on had to rescue people if there is a direct hit collapsing the building.
“Where are all the FR Ukrainian cheer leaders now?”
Resting up waiting for all the stupid/cute comments from the crowd of Comrades commenting here first, then ready to respond in favor of the courageous Ukrainians defending their homeland.
Of course Russia has a fathomable reason and need to keep soldiers there. They are a conquering army doing what conquering armies do, making sure the conquered do as they are ordered.
And killed innocent civilians.
Exactly.
