Bullcrap.
If the tires or some other component is faulty the vehicle still has to go to a service center.
Also note that GM rolled out OnStar a long time ago.
Musk has accomplished something, but the article is pandering.
Biden’s handlers hate Tesla because he’s non-union.
Still waiting for the comparative evidence to back up ‘rare’..
Automakers Embrace Over-the-Air Updates, but Can We Trust Digital Car Repair?
"Ford and GM say 2020 models will have OTA capability, but the convenience isn't without safety or security risks"
I’m not getting into any vehicle that doesn’t have a door latch mechanically linked to the handle. Teslas have an electrically activated door latch. No power, as in the battery catches fire, means the door won’t open and you can’t get out.
I don’t want to be forced to buy one! Particularly forced to buy EVs on the false premise of AGW! Right now, I see no technical advantage of an EV over an ICE but many disadvantages to EV ownership at its current level of development. I’ll buy one if and only if it fits my needs and pocketbook and the technology is more mature.
Yes.
The article never said otherwise.
They are talking about mass recalls or not in a particular case, not tyre changes etc. GM Onstar was quite different.
terrorist organizations’ are WHATEVER those in power claim them to be.
FReepers beware
“FReepers beware”
Particularly the ones who own Teslas. Make sure your real car is in good shape and always ready to go.
More than you think
I don’t see any pro EV bias among conservatives. For the most part, most conservatives are agnostic.
I think that most conservatives believe that the marketplace should and will determine winners and losers. Even if you are the world’s best buggy whip maker.
Yes.
Most conservatives believe that the choice should be up to the consumer, without interference, penalties, or cash bribes from the government.
The one about energy density is a bit misleading. A lot of energy in a car is lost as heat. Not much of it goes to actually moving the vehicle.
Having said that I’m not a big EV supporter nor anti-EV. I say let people buy what they want. EV for me isn’t a viable option at this time. Maybe when the tesla roadster comes out with over 600 miles range and if they get more stable charging around the US...then maybe I would consider one.
Yeah?
Like how many?
The first electric car was actually made almost 200 years ago in 1832
We load dead ev’s up and haul them to a charging station.
Motorclubs hate it but I am not sitting on the side of a freeway running a generator for an hour to give them a chance at making it to a charging station.
Have to hop a freight train like a hobo to escape
