Why? Because if you line up against BEV from a political viewpoint, what ya gonna do when the technology gets better/cheaper? DO you want to give the LEFT a win?

It’s about price, performance, efficiency, etc.
I do NOT think BEV will have all 3 for ~ 10 years because there are lots of cheap cars out there.
I think self-driving (which by the way does not require an electric vehicle) is much more game changing....(let’s assume it becomes better than humans at driving in 2-3 years). What happens then? 2 car families go to 1 car (maybe not car, use fractional). Retirees can remain independent for 5 or so years longer (not safe to drive, so how can you live in your home?)
