There are ten articles in the bill of rights. None of the others require a “renewable license” to exercise. Normally I’m opposed to offing politicians because it does more harm than good, but I wouldn’t shed a tear if someone accidentally ran over this jerk. The problem is that although this is blatantly unconstitutional there is no downside to Jacobs for introducing it. The constitution doesn’t provide punishments for Kongresscrooks who violate it.

Republicrat New York Congressman Chris Jacobs needs to be disbarred for such a clear attack on the Constitution and the University at Buffalo Law School needs to be put on notice for bestowing a law degree to him. The notice needs to include the warning that they may have to re-apply for certification of their law program if they continue to confer juris doctor degrees to individuals who fail to grasp the Constitution.
Republicrat New York Congressman Chris Jacobs also needs to be put under Congressional review for actions against the people, censured if necessary, and fired if warranted.
I’m not sure the SC would rule in favor of legalizing suppressors and machine guns under the current belief that part of the constitutionality of firearms comes under the belief that firearms should be “in common” use, since there are only about 100,000 machine guns in the US due to the 1934 NFA and 1986 machine gun ban.
Never mind that the number was artificially depressed by the action of the fedgov.

That would be a good amendment to the Constitution. An amendment that would meet out serious legal consequences for passing a bill that would later be determined to be unconstitutional. Something in addition to political consequences like being booted out of office and prohibited from ever holding public office. It should include jail terms and a prohibition against lobbying.
