My black next-door neighbor would disagree with this.
He says nobody speaks for him or tells him how he should think.
We are completely helpless. Others define reality and leave us with no choice but to live in that reality. And we must do so because we cannot create our own reality.
And sadly, that's what we're seeing now over and over: White folks on the Left defining a reality for us that doesn't comport with how we as Black people see things, then demanding we identify with it.
And we must identify with it (whatever that means) because we are helpless.
