Is that a high performance vehicle?

It's not even close to high-performance; it's a V6 engine. It's got some nice tech, but there are others with much better tech included, and even many lower-priced vehicles are much better equipped with features. In fact, my 2014 Ford Escape had better tech than my RX 350, and also gave me 23 MPG. In a sense, one can say I took a step down with my RX 350. Now I need to figure out a way to trade it in and not lose value. It's not even at 5,000 miles yet.

When Teslas get recalled, do they automatically drive themselves back to the factory?

It's an over-the-air update that takes care of the problem. Pretty much invisible.

On the other hand, other brands force the owner to take the car in for servicing. Like the Toyota bZ4x where the wheels can fall off, good luck driving back if the wheel is gone.

I would have a new (https://www.crosleyautoclub.com/AfricaCrosley/brutal_test.html) over a Tesla, if it was still made!

“I’m waiting for the first Tesla repo that drives itself back to the dealership.”

That capability would be a hacker dream!! Hack them to drive right up into a 40-foot trailer for auto theft (stationary or moving slowly through a nayborhood). So many possibilities!

Thanks for the interesting irrelevancies.

A friend of mine had the first year Palisade, liked it real well. Traded it in on a GV80 for the greater HP. Liked the interior on the Palisade better.

I’d like to be able to find a nice, comfortable, powerful, good handling, reliable and simple car with less junk on it than more. No video, no computer, no auto park, no cameras and such. Anything beyond power door locks and windows is too much.

I wish someone made a glider version of the Buick LuCerne with a Northstar V8. Reasonably priced, I’d buy one in a heartbeat and drive it another 150,000 miles or more.

It’s a Lexus, and given the shortage of decent used cars on the market, you should be able to do fairly well. Check prices at Edmunds and eBay (completed auctions) for your MY and mileage.

You can’t get a new car without a backup camera, they’re now required by NHTSA or some other FedGov agency, IIRC.
