I do believe that the aircraft carrier in that photo is a Brit carrier.

Howdy, luvie.

Hope your day was a good one.

It was a hot one here. Summer just had to have its last hurrah. Ugh.

Hey there, radu!

I guess it got up to about 91 here, but I didn’t get out much. Still better than 105. LOL! I’m hoping that both of us get some relief VERY soon! You will before me, but it’s surely coming.

It was 95 when I was out this afternoon taking Pixie to the vet. The heat index was higher. Nashville is a heat island and they hit 100 yesterday and today.

Our break begins tomorrow with low 80s for the high. Friday is supposed to be upper 70s. We can happily live with that!

Man that’s some rough temps. Another FReeper said it was at least 100 in Memphis, too. I know y’all are ready for the break to come!

But aren’t we all!

Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.

We made it! Hump day is behind us...

You and Mrs Mayor enjoy your evening.

Nights hovering around 40 for the next week. Days mid to high 40s. It’s creeping in. LOL!

Nashville weather report tonight showed Memphis at 102 today. We were just about the coolest area in the state.
Still warm enough outside I broke into a little sweat while hosing off the car a few minutes ago. When I left with Pixie, I groaned when I saw the car. It was covered with dust and corn funk and that got into the car while I was out. Set my sinuses on fire. I didn’t think about it yesterday or I’d have hosed it off last night.

We are SO ready for the weather they forecast for the next week. Just in time for the beginning of fall, fall weather moves in.
Now we have to figure out how to shove some of it over your way. :-)

It’s been pretty cool up there for a while. It seems like every time anyone posted the weather in Lake Hood chat all through August, the temps were in the 50s. Y’all didn’t have much of a summer this year.

It was all down here!

I just looked at the next week’s forecast and your 70s sound like pure heaven! After Sunday we’ll be in the mid-80s which with our low humidity will feel almost as good as your 70s.

I wish fall would last as long as summer did. LOL!

Our troops DO cover a lot of territory. Good evening, luvie...is your heat dying down finally?

Our forecast sure does sound like pure heaven and we’re looking forward to it. I do wish we had some rain in store with the front tomorrow to tamp the dust down for a day or so but we aren’t expecting any here. It’s hazy from all the harvesting going on across the county.

I’d love to have a long fall too. It’s supposed to be a very cold winter and I’m not looking forward to that at all.

How was your outing with Gizmo yesterday? Did he find any smelly spots to roll in? LOL

Yes, they are alert to keep us safe all around the world. God protect them.

It’s hot-ish. Not like it was last month, but still in the 90s for the rest of this week. Somehow we didn’t get the Autumn Equinox memo. LOL!

Yeah, wish that harvest junk would either settle or blow away. But then they start harvesting the soybeans. Hope that’s the last of it.
