‘If they want to bully and put ships around Taiwan, they very much can do that,’ said Vice Adm. Karl Thomas

China’s armed forces are capable of blockading Taiwan, a senior U.S. Navy official said, pointing to the size of the country’s navy, which is the world’s largest and growing at a rapid pace.

“They have a very large navy, and if they want to bully and put ships around Taiwan, they very much can do that,” Vice Adm. Karl Thomas, commander of the U.S. Seventh Fleet, said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

Mine the areas surrounding the islands(intermittent). Declare it a ‘no sail zone’. Announce the mines will be activated within 48 hours like they did in Hanoi. This gives the Chicoms an out. They’ll turn away like Kruzchev did in Cuba.

Why do US officers talk to the media? I knew a SF LT. Colonel who built a fenced enclosure and herded C. Amanpour and other journos nto it and told her she was a war whore. Forget the conflict.

And if there is the will, the ships in a block aid will be smoldering ruins in 24 hours.

Taiwan is none of our business and we’ll never go to war over it.

**** They’ll turn away like Kruzchev did in Cuba. ****

Here’s what really happened and in this order:

1) US put missiles into Turkey.
2) USSR put missiles into Cuba.
3) USSR withdrew missiles from Cuba.
4) US withdrew missiles from Turkey.

The MSM only tells you about events 2 and 3 in what is known as the “Cuban Missile Crises” where JFK “stared down” Khrushchev. In truth, the USSR agreed to remove the missiles from Cuba IF the US would remove missiles from Turkey. Kennedy agreed.

I remember how we handled it when the Soviets blockaded Berlin.

And Taiwan could set adrift a few thousand naval mines.

The USA and ten other countries are even more capable of blockading the Straits of Malacca and cutting off China’s oil supplies from the Middle East. China needs to behave, and they know it.

But the big question is, is the US capable of blockading China?

Another horse crap anti American version of events.

No Kruschev didn’t put nukes in Cuba because we put them in Turkey.

He used Turkey as an excuse and face saving measure when he had to retreat from Cuba.

He wasn’t planning on putting missiles in Cuba just to pull them out in a trade. He got caught.

K thought he could get away with it because he had met Kennedy and found Kennedy to be weak and inexperienced.

And he had to withdraw because at the time we had a 10 to 1 nuclear missile advantage over the Soviets.

Kennedy got elected, like all democrats, by lying that we were behind in a “missile gap”.

Both Kennedy and Nixon had the intel, but Nixon wouldn’t reveal it because he was a patriot.

and oh yeah, the democrats stole that election as well.

Now we’re essentially telling China: “Here’s Taiwan, come and get it!”

Maybe the Biden admin wants them to block it by October, so American voters will rally behind them for the November election?

I didn’t say Khrushchev put missiles in Cuba because we put them in Cuba. I don’t know his motivation, and neither do you. But the sequence of events that I outlined is correct.
