Conscripts cannot be sent to combat zone. Bulk of Russian troops are non-combat, support. Also, remember to exclude the navy personnel and air force.

Those were among my earlier points in Post 15.

Sigh.

My ancestors are Finnish.

We were a little surprised she got elected as she... Well she isn’t typical and I will leave it at that.

The few family we have there still say the NATO move was to try to get SOMEONE to stand with them besides the #$%# Swedes.

Depends on what you mean by "Russia". Almost none of the natural resource wealth from foreign sales or weapons exports reaches the general population. St. Petersburg and Moscow have certainly benefitted and seen incomes rise, as well as some places associated with the supply of the oil and gas industries. But in general Russia is like Nigeria with snow.

Vast amounts of the money Putin spent on armaments and the armed forces have been stolen. For example, if you are in the Russian arms industry and you can sell items to India for hard cash vs. selling for rubles to supply units in Ukraine, where do you think the production is going? There are credible reports of units fighting in Ukraine having trouble getting working small arms or even boots. Those are frontline units: imagine what it's like on some base in Siberia.

No different than in 1917, vast majority of the population lived in poverty while Czar Nicky and his pals were living it up.

And we all knew what came next. It just would be nice this time if the Bolsheviks just stayed out of it.

There are credible reports of units fighting in Ukraine having trouble getting working small arms or even boots.

I have heard of such accounts, but mountains of photos and video from various sources on social media almost uniformly (no pun intended) show Russian troops that are well fed, dressed and equipped, with abundant weapons, ammunition and equipment in good order. DPR and LPR militias are not as uniformed or as well disciplined, but look well fed and not wanting for weaponry or ammunition.

For the past six months, what has been seen in Ukraine has not matched the relentless Western propaganda that we are not supposed to question. Not that our governments would ever lie to us or suppress contrary information, of course. Something has been rotten in Ukraine for almost a decade, and much of it involves Bidens, Romneys, Pelosis, Kerrys, and problably many more corrupt American politicians and businesses. But we dare not question...

Recent history teaches that there is another likely scenario you left out if Putin is taken out or dies, they appoint a Gorbachev to disentangle from Putin’s adventures, and Russia uses the new leader as an excuse to end a mess, which is commonly done.

Well they tried that with Kerensky, and it didn’t work out.

Once they are annexed, Russia territory may be defended by a declaration of war - and then Putin sends in the actual Russian Army, rather than the conscripted forces in the Special Operation. Russia was constrainted by the Russian Special Operation that did not permit actual regualr Military units from the fight. This annexation will be denied by the Ukraine, and then there will what Putin will cal WAR.

Ukraine needs to play the long game here. Allow partisans attack Russians in the occupied territories. Eventually the war will be unpopular and Putin (or his successor) will have to pull out the troops.

If Zelensky decides to escalate, then the Russians will do the same. Look at what happened to Mariupol.

Democrats always do sh*t to destory the National Defense, so republicans will have to replunish it - thus republican reliably end up fixing the economy so it gets good enough that people want the democrats back to give them stuff and start the whole circular culuster chuck revolving. Trump broke that and actually governed along with fixing things. He was not held back by balancing the budget so the democrats could implement so BS programs when the take charge again. Trump will break with the NWO slowly when comes back into power so as to keep them from killing him along the way. About the fourth year, he will tell the NWO that the USA is going pump oil, pipe natural gas, and burn clean coal, in order that people in States will have good paying jobs - all the while he will spend some money on EV and damns, air fans, solar panels, etc., thus the US will show the world we can beat the targets on cleaning up the atsmopher all the while building a strong economy. Socialism in the EU may just hae see the light. The DNC might find themselves out owning the presidency, the senate and congress for 12 years. Trumps book, “The America you/we Deserve” is his governding template. Fix the schools. Fix law enforce. Fix Washington and various agencies of government.

“...The Neocons wanted a war with Russia, looks like they’ll be getting it...”

Russia wanted to gobble up Ukraine. Russia is getting humiliated by a freedom-loving nation. Neocons ain’t got nothing to do with it.

Russia brought violence and destruction to the very regions it pretended to want to help. Ukrainians are fighting bravely (unlike some others we’ve helped in the past). The brave Russians are the ones opposing Putin. Glory to Ukraine! Support Russian dissidents!
