Massachusetts Lawmaker Demands Investigation into DeSantis for Migrant ‘Kidnapping and Human Trafficking’
National Review/Yahoo ^ | September 19, 2022 | Caroline Downey

The Massachusetts state lawmaker who represents Martha’s Vineyard demanded an investigation Sunday into Governor Ron DeSantis’ “inhumane” decision to fly 50 migrants to the island.

-snip

“We are requesting that the Department of Justice open an investigation to hold DeSantis & others accountable for these inhumane acts,” state Representative Dylan Fernandes tweeted Sunday. “Not only is it morally criminal, there are legal implications around fraud, kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, and human trafficking.”

He said he spoke with U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Rachel Rollins, urging her to pressure the Department of Justice to launch an investigation.

Up to 125 members of the Massachusetts National Guard have been deployed by Republican Governor Charlie Baker to assist with the situation. Buses picked up the group of Venezuelans from Edgartown roughly 24 hours after they flew in from San Antonio, Texas at the direction of DeSantis.

Rubber-stamped by the Florida legislature in a prior funding package, the flights were part of an effort to transport illegal aliens to sanctuary cities, many of which have pledged housing, childcare, cash assistance, and even healthcare for illegal immigrants. Sanctuary cities at minimum promise not to alert Immigration and Customs Enforcement to the presence of illegal aliens. While Martha’s Vineyard is designated as a one such safe haven, local officials claimed they had insufficient capacity to manage the needs of 50 people.

Fernandes, whose district includes part of Martha’s Vineyard, called DeSantis’s actions “f***ing depraved” days prior on Twitter.

“The Governor of one of the biggest states in the nation has been spending time hatching a secret plot to round up & ship people-children, families-lying to them about where theyre going just to gain cheap political points on Tucker Calrson [sic] and MAGA twitter. It’s f***ing depraved,” he said.

“Free ride” is not “kidnapping.”

But man, do these liberals get pissed off when brown people show up in their towns.

Good luck dumbass.

They know where they are going and sign paperwork stating such.

All this flailing by the left is hilarious and only brings more attention to the problem at the southern border......which was the intention all along.

Thanks for helping out liberals.

It’s refreshing to see them on the defensive for a change.

Instead of being in a halfway house in the rough part of a city or out in the desert they were given an all expense paid trip to Paradise.

And then the current residents of said Paradise went, “Ew! Gross,” and had the military get every last one of them the hell out of there in less than 24 hours!

I’m surprised that Liz Cheney hasn’t demanded an investigation into DeSantis for migrant ‘kidnapping and human trafficking’.

In criminal law, kidnapping is the unlawful confinement of a person against their will, often including transportation/asportation.

The asportation and abduction element is typically but not necessarily conducted by means of force or fear: the perpetra tvtor may use a weapon to force the victim into a vehicle, but it is still kidnapping if the victim is enticed to enter the vehicle willingly (e.g. in the belief that it is a taxicab)......

.......and may be done to demand for ransom in exchange for releasing the victim, or for other illegal purposes. Kidnapping can be accompanied by bodily injury which elevates the crime to aggravated kidnapping.[1]

Kidnapping of a child is known as child abduction, which is a separate legal category.

"Also over the weekend, Lawyers for Civil Rights, which is offering legal services to about 30 of the migrants, pleaded with Rollins and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey to investigate the transportation of migrants."

Like Hungary, it might be time to take a hard look into the web of NGOs and organizations like the above. Because that is where the real human trafficking is taking place.

Human Trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of people through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit.

Men, women and children of all ages and from all backgrounds can become victims of this crime, which occurs in every region of the world.

The traffickers often use violence or fraudulent employment agencies and fake promises of education and job opportunities to trick and coerce their victims.

This lawsuit should come right after the one against Joseph R Biden for illegally sending planes of illegal aliens across state lines in the middle of the night to cities across this country! When Joe is put in shackles then this asshat can continue with his lawsuit......
