Encouraging new data on a malaria vaccine from Oxford University bodes well for global effort to combat the mosquito-borne disease that kills a child every minute, its makers said on Wednesday.
After decades of work, the only approved malaria vaccine, Mosquirix, made by British drugmaker GSK, was recently endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Oxford’s vaccine, called R21/Matrix-M, is likely more effective than Mosquirix in preventing the disease that kills about 600,000 a year despite roughly US$3 billion spent annually on insecticides, bednets and anti-malarial drugs, Oxford scientist Adrian Hill said.

Didn’t DDT pretty much eliminate malaria?
I took ivemectrin 2 yrs ago ... ive not had 1 moskito or tic bite since ... im in the woods a lot ... Maybe this is why they gave it to every single immigrant the cross the border and all of the prisoners in our prison system
I’m pretty sure it WAS eradicatd...and the revived...but I never remember malaria being deadly in this day and age.

When I was working in SA, ( Amazon) the very old and young were dying of malaria. That said, after the Covid vax hoax and severe side effects, who in their right mind would ever take a vax again?

"Silent Spring" was a LIE! There were no "thinner egg shells".
The U.S. is the only place that over used the pesticide to the point of contaminating the runoff from farm land.
But in the third world where the disease was a deadly problem, there was no over use.
As for the supposed health effects on humans, my dad used to fog the yard with DDT and as we lived among many farm fields we thought it was funny when the crop dusters would occasionally spray us as we walked on adjacent roads.
