Who do you your state reps or your federal reps? I say the state reps: they aren’t as corrupted with power...

Not necessarily with power...

I think too many have a romanticized notion of what would actually take place.

In my experience state reps are no more honest, principled or wise than the ones in DC.

In fact, many in DC started in their states.

If anything, I think state reps would me more susceptible to pressure from the myriad special interests inevitably showing up.

I am not necessary arguing they are all better principled, certainly some are just opportunists looking to move up the next rung. For the most part what the system depends on is self interest. Not everyone will or wants to move up to the federal level and as long as they are at the state and local level their self interest is to move power done into their sphere.

One the other hand, you can talk and meet with you state reps much easier and if your local people are corrupted jerks it is a lot easier to get them out of office. Devolution of power to the local level is the only way to fix our problems and the only way to make that happen short of violence is the Article V convention.
