This week Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thanked the residents of Martha’s Vineyard for showing everybody “what the best of America looks like.” Then about 24 hours after illegal immigrants arrived from Florida, they were then sent off the island to a military base at Cape Cod to face possible deportation. Sen. Ted Cruz noticed it this way:

I don’t recall: did the barmaid praise the citizens of border towns and border states who have been feeding, clothing, housing the illegal visitors for years? Did she call them the best of America? She sure doles out a lot of praise for people who’ve done basically NOTHING by comparison.
