REPORTS coming out of Russia on Friday, September 16, suggested that Russian-appointed deputy head of Berdiansk (Ukraine) Oleg Boyko and his wife Lyudmila have been killed.
Russian-appointed deputy head of Berdiansk Oleg Boyko and his wife Lyudmila were killed near their garage in what appears to be an assassination, according to the chairman of the movement “We are with Russia”, Vladimir Rogov.
Oleg Boyko, Russian appointed deputy head of Berdiansk military-civil administration for housing and communal services, and his wife, Lyudmila Boyko, were killed.
“Law enforcement officers are asking citizens who have any information regarding the incident to promptly inform the police of the information they have,” Vladimir Rogov said.
One person on Twitter said: “In Berdyansk, the deputy head of the CAA for housing and communal services Oleg Boyko and his wife Lyudmila Boyko, who headed the city election commission for the referendum, were killed.”
12.22 (September 16) Luhansk People’s Republic Prosecutor-General Serhiy Horenko has reportedly died in an explosion in Luhansk, Ukraine. The death of Gorenko’s deputy Ekaterina Steglenko has also been reported. She was wounded after the blast and stayed alive for over an hour.
Two Assassinations in one day - the war is entering a new phase
An assassination triggered WWI.
Hmmmm.. wonder if a certain country helped Ukraine carry this out?
Im surprised Putin havent nuked Kyiv yet.
That was the Archduke, not a mid level bureaucrat.
As corrupt as that place is, my guess is Vlad is shoring up his support.
Krystallnacht was started by the assassination of a low-level Nazi official in Paris.
If you’re looking for an excuse, you’ll find it.
The Other Side Always Gets a Turn.
Ukraine does not have the logistics to send a division to Moscow, but it is only a short drive for a few people.
It does break a Taboo. Assassinations between first world powers is a no no, or least was since WWI (For the sake of the conversation I am calling Ukraine and Russia first world powers).
In a way, I prefer the war to hit those who have actual decision making authority. No point killing all those kids on both sides for old men to profit. However it does herald a more messy state of affairs.
The guy's job was to place people in housing. His wife was uninvolved.
“Luhansk People’s Republic Prosecutor-General Serhiy Horenko killed in explosion”
Dead communist.
The world is entering a new phase. I hope Ukraine was worth it.
It’s a rough port town. Could be any number of reasons here for this rub out. Russian mafia turf war, Ukrainians taking out a Quisling, FSB taking out a witness to war crimes, etc.
We don’t know it wasn’t a mafia hit. May be unrelated to the war.

"It was worse than Detroit."
“An assassination triggered WWI.”
And the Bolshevik seizure of Russia.
Russian isn’t looking to expand their war. It appears they can barely hang on to the one they have.
One thing I have found since February is that the Russians tend to be drama queens. I expect that crap from the Palestinians and Spanish footballers.
It seems to parallel the Soviet-Finnish war of 1940, after the Finns were inflicting losses on the Red Army, eventually the Red Army did regroup and forced the Finns to the bargaining table.
Archduke Franz Ferdinand signed my family’s exit visas...
Russian isn’t looking to expand their war. It appears they can barely hang on to the one they have.
Russia is going to fight a mostly defensive war now that they have been soundly beaten in the field by Ukrainian “farmers and miners” wielding NATO weapons. Putin’s only hope out of this quagmire is the west cutting off military aid to Ukraine.
