Florida Senator Ron DeSantis had a strong message for migrants seeking to enter the country.
"We are not a sanctuary state," he said during a press event Thursday. "And its better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction."
This comes after the governor sent about 50 migrants on planes to Martha's Vineyard Wednesday.
"And yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures," he said, speaking to potential migrants thinking of coming to Florida.
The Republican governor also called on President Joe Biden to "do his damn job and secure the border."
DeSantis called out Democratic leaders who boasted about being sanctuary cities under the Trump administration.
"The minute even a small fraction of what those border towns deal with every day is brought to their front door they all of a sudden go berserk and they're so upset this is happening," he said. "It just shows you their virtue signaling is a fraud."
He said Democrats are supporting "indefensible" immigration policies under the Biden administration.
"It is not defensible for a superpower to not have any control the territory of its country," he said.
DeSantis said Biden inherited a better border situation and has now brought upon an immigration crisis.

Why not as students?
I'm sure that most all of the Migrants would fulfill an affirmative action Diversity slot in the Woke, Virtuous University Admissions program.
Even better, they could give 'em scholarships and credits in "Diversity Experience" based on their personal experience as "Diverse Persons", which they are.
They could major in "Diverse Modern History", and make millions teaching it in Public Schools.
That’s a great idea. They can talk philosophy all night in the dorms. Maybe some of the coeds will find their future husbands.
The Dorms would become available as housing if the "Migrants" were accepted as students!
All their problems solved!

Exactly. Let the natives and the recent legal transplants like me handle the hurricanes, panthers, alligators, killer flamingoes, flying cock-a-roaches (palmetto bugs), lizards, sharks, 99% relative humidity, hordes of spiders and, of course, Florida Man.
So Newsom’s going to send the Chippies to arrest DeSantis???
Of course, to even consider a kidnapping indictment, far-fetched as that may be, you would first need to prove that DeSantis is rounding them up and forcing them onto the buses and planes, and second, if the first is proven, to prove that it isn’t legal for DeSantis to round them up and force them onto the buses and planes. And, of course, all this assumes that a sitting governor can even be extradited to Kalifornia for such a thing.
Sadly, Florida gives in-state tuition to illegal aliens. Thanks Rick Scott!
Not to mention these bleu states typically have in-state tuition, so I’m sure their taxpaying residents wouldn’t mind subsidizing the benevolent education that these folks will need to prosper in the USSA.
That’s the problem with the GOP: too many globalist, internationalist turkeys.
