Russia is said to be canceling plans to send new troops to Ukraine as more of its service members are reportedly refusing to fight following humiliating losses on the battlefield.
Ukrainian intelligence reported Wednesday that members of the 5th Separate Tank Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces are surrendering their military benefits in order to resign for their refusal to fight.
“At the same time, a catastrophic shortage of personnel is seen in the units taking part in the war against Ukraine,” the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said.

In the latest audio released by Ukraine’s defense ministry, a man identified as a Russian soldier in the Kharkiv region can be heard angrily complaining about the military being in shambles, in what is described as an intercepted phone call.
“I imagined all of this differently, because there’s no kind of organization. I thought there was an army here, but it’s not an army here,” he tells a relative.
“Everyone is out for themselves,” he says.
U.S. officials have said Ukraine’s gains on the battlefield have forced Russian troops to literally flee, abandoning equipment as they retreat. According to a report by The Moscow Times, Russian forces near Izyum in the Kharkiv region lost half of their equipment in just four days this month.
Amid rising outrage among Russians over the losses, the Kremlin is said to be maneuvering to deflect blame from Putin by pinning it on military advisers instead.
But the losses in the Kherson and Kharkiv regions appear to have hit ordinary Russians harder than earlier defeats in the Kyiv region and on Snake Island, so much so that they sparked speculation on many pro-Kremlin social media channels about Ukraine taking the war well into Russian territory.

Wrong!
Russian soldiers were lied to about going to Ukraine. They use contract soldiers, and under Russian law if they want to get out of Ukraine to go back to Russia, they have to write a letter to their CO about it. The Russian "stop loss" program is to ignore Russian law and not act on any of the letters. The soldiers not trying to get out, can take a guess at what's going on with those who are. I can't confirm the number, but its supposedly sizable, maybe 30-40%.Once Ukraine broke through to Kupiansk, when so much of Russian army is demoralized and distrusting their leadership, a rout was unavoidable. The fact the Russians around Kharkiv were routed like this shows how demoralized they are. Which leads to the obvious question. Then there is the leadership, HIMARs attacks for two months, and the emphasis on Battalion sized units for organization making command and logistics harder. Prior to the Kherson action, Russia relocated force to Izyum and Kherson. The forces in Kharkiv are large the Donbas and Luhansk militias, second rate Russian proxy forces, and Wagner group mercenaries who are not allowed to engage in offensive operations by law or they don't get paid (supposedly), and want to live to get paid more than die Putin's ambitions.
After HIMARs started fighting in July, Russian advances slowed to a halt. What they gained in Donbas, Ukraine could afford to lose. What HIMARs was destroying was gradually wearing away at the Russian ability to wage war.
A week into the Kherson counter offensive, the Kharkiv counter offenses starts. Two days later Ukrainian forces are raising flags 30 miles behind Russian lies. 10 to 20 thousand are backed up to a river with the Ukrainian army everywhere else. 20,000 are stuck in Kherson because HIMARS took out bridges and where there aren't bridges there's the Ukrainian army. 30,000 to 40,000 Russian forces are backed up against a wall, immobilized, with command and control that is
In three months time, Ukraine found a way to get inside the Russia OODA look like no one has since World War II.
The only wonder is why people believe it is impossible for the Russian army to be routed like this, a week after the fact.
what is the real state of the rest of the Russian forces in Ukraine?
Notice the claims are based off a faceless man claimed to hold a high rank, though unproven, and it’s audio so there’s no way to prove who it really is or any of this.
So you approve of the Daily Beast as a legit site that doesn’t cater leftward bs? Well at least you’ve chosen an appropriate screen name for yourself DUMBGRUNT.
—”Well at least you’ve chosen an appropriate screen name for yourself DUMBGRUNT.”
Typical for a vatnick to avoid a question.
A zero that adds nothing at all.
I’m very proud of my time as a Dumbgrunt and have the scars to prove it.
I don’t even know what a vatnick is, what’s that’s suppose be be some kind of dumbgrunt slur lol. It’s time for your booster shot monkey boy, get on it.
She’s right.
Gee, a Zeeper story with unverifiable sources…
Must be true! Post it and gush over it!
the number of petty insults hurled by the Russian shills is actually a useful proxy for telling how this war is REALLY going for Russia
that is, IF Russia was succeeding, the shills would be talking about that and happy
instead, they’re always angry and frustrated (just look at the number of petty, childish insults they sling)
so obviously, this war must be going badly for Russia
Enjoy the Sanctions! “To the Last man”!!
LOL
You’re most welcome. I thought it was interesting. We’ll see what happens. Russia has had some difficulty trying to get quality parts and supplies for weapons and ammunition and will continue to try to rely, in part, on weapons and (mostly) ammunition from North Korea and Iran. A lack of munitions accuracy will continue to be a problem for Russia.

Surprisingly you can find your way onto Free Republic and lack the basic knowledge of using a search engine. How does that work?
Actually not surprising for a baby bot and considering the recruiting problems among Putin’s devotees.
But with many hours of slinging complete BS maybe, just maybe you could become a full-fledged bot!
Sadly the pay is in near worthless rubles.
Too bad, so sad.
They have been posting leftist sites all day and I suppose we are all supposed to high five The Daily Beast, NYT, Daily Mail, Reuters, The Hill etc.
They still haven’t figured out they are rooting for a leftist cause.
—” A lack of munitions accuracy will continue to be a problem for Russia.”
Tank gun barrels last only a few hundred rounds, heavy artillery a few thousand rounds.
This affects accuracy, made in north Korea probably does not help.
Dealing with a misfire inside a tank under attack could be difficult. Best to wait for ten -fifteen minutes; the Ruskees can take a few sips of whatever before opening...
I have seen where they attempt to determine the number of rounds fired by the piles of spent shells already down the bore.
And guessing the barrels weren’t new when they attacked Ukraine.
Yeah, the childishness is pretty sad. So much for discerning adults.
You used the Daily Mail as your source! 🤣
The biggest problem with these psy ops is that the Russians do not read these sources.
I have no idea whom this BS is aimed at.
Well, you know, figuring out which is the most credible of the least credible is the least uncredible enough to use is hard these days. 🤷♂️ (shrug)
I was commenting on the Daily Mail article, and my cynicsm toward the DM should have been clear. Their war reporting is especially tabloid. I was using sources I did not link to.
Anyway, that was a good joke.
From looking at that 13 minute video, I suspect there is some fragging, but probably not enough given the way superiors behave toward recruits. There are worries about other consequences coming from the Ukranians described below from the link.
“Since no one is hearing our message and no one is preparing defense for large [Russian] cities, and the enemy at the same time is concentrating huge forces on the border with the Belgorod region, there is a great probability that they may significantly take one of the large cities under their control,” one pro-Kremlin Telegram channel warned, predicting that the “enemy will act more skillfully” and stifle communications in a late-night takeover.
“The tone among Russian officials also took a swift change, with the mayor of a town in the Kaliningrad region announcing this week that celebrations for the city’s annual holiday had been canceled in light of the “tense situation” on the battlefield.”
How many here think that the Uke army would actually go so far as to enter Russia and take over a small city?
“when Russia disintegrates this will be when Vlad dies, which means soon.”
Also posted today at Ukraine search, was a story on a possible attempt against Putin recently. He was third in a 5 car convoy. An ambulance blocked the group, but the first 2 cars pulled around and took off. Then something struck the left front wheel with a thud, and smoke erupted. Putin’s car managed to get around and arrive home. A body was found in the Ambulance, one of the first cars was located some distance away and 3 of Putin’s security guards that day were still missing when I saw the link this afternoon. Some of his security group have been arrested.
