We used to intervene to free those in other nations from tyranny (communist, Islamic fundamentalism.
Our foreign policy in the past 30 years has resulted in nations being destabilized, set off civil wars, enabled Islamic fundamentalism and neo-Nazis in Ukraine and killed tens of thousands.
Pretty much everything we've done since Afghanistan has been a disaster. It's no wonder much of the rest of the world hates us.
Wow, so you love the wonders Bush/Cheney performed with Iraq?
Or is pointing out their invasion denigrating the US?
NATO was involved in bombing Serbia and Libya even though NATO is a defensive entity and even though Serbia and Libya didn’t attack any NATO members and other things like these to see if they see the irony of attacking Putin’s pokiciez but not challenging the warmongering and invasions of others.
Is pointing that out denigrating the US or are you an Clinton/Obama/Bush bot?
In the end, you have to be against thus unending military interventionist or you are a neocon.
There's nothing wrong with pointing out an intervention that you believe to be wrong. But it is denigrating the U.S. when you make a false equivalence between Russia invading Ukraine because it wanted to conquer and permanently annex its territory, and the U.S. intervention in Iraq that didn't have that kind of goal.
Darn those jet airplanes!
