To kill more Russki invaders with.
You never told me what you’re willing to bet regarding Russia holding onto Kherson by Xmas.
Here are the facts - there are only so many vehicles that can advance on a given road, that would be able to deploy into combat formation rapidly - call it @ 50-80 vehicles. Maybe a brigade - maybe 400-500 vehicles including support elements - could occupy such a road, but it would leave most of the unit unable to engage for several hours. There would be a traffic jam.
“Huge” casualties would render that first battalion ineffective. It will require the rest of the Brigade to redeploy, bring up artillery, and resume the attack, giving the defenders opportunities to inflict “huge” casualties some more. But a set-piece attack could take a whole day, or more, even if successful.
But that stopping and redeploying and delay just didn’t happen. The Ukes maintained a rate of march of over 15 miles per day (faster than Rommel managed with the 7th Panzer from the Dinant bridgehead), and that is because they weren’t constantly deploying. They were moving ahead in march formation (we would call it stop and start traffic, but that’s military reality) while waiting for the go ahead from recce elements in front. What they were doing is bypassing any resistance the recce elements found, and turning their flanks. Follow-on brigades were tasked with “masking” points of resistance, until the enemy were obliged to retreat or disperse, as the Ukes were now in their rear.
Heavy casualties, as I said, goes along with deployment, heavy fighting, and delay. No significant delay does not argue for heavy fighting.
I saw what you did.
Oh I did, you just fail at reading.
You have an odd idea about politesse due while dealing with matters of national survival. I gather that doing the necessary, in his case, annoys you.
But this is war and your amour propre, or vanity, lets put it plainly, rank rather low in anyone’s priorities.
Spare me the rhetoric dude.
I am a realist and “politesse” went out the window decades ago.
Germany wants Russia to turn the gas back on.
Maybe you thought you did, or meant to and just didn't post, but there is no response from you to this.

Gunslingr3 to cranked
Indeed.
What are you willing to lose?
You never responded. If you did, you could provide the link.
With all due respect, the RF had redeployed before the “counteroffensive” began. Just a few territorials and others were left behind. In the Kharkov Oblast the RF found it was only pointlessly holding ground because Izyum didn’t, as hoped, prove to be a good place for launching an advance against Slavyansk. So, someone made the decision to redeploy the troops to an area where they could contribute more to the destruction of the AFU. Now the AFU has to focus on the Kherson region and Donbass. Walking into the Kharkov territory formerly held by the RF cost the AFU the equivalent of 3-4 brigades, while it cost the RF essentially nothing to give it up. Let’s see if the RF calculation was right. If, for example, there is another Kherson offensive, it’s likely the AFU will lose the equivalent of 3-5 brigades to RF artillery and aerospace. I do think the rules of engagement are too restrictive and need to be relaxed. Fortunately, that relaxation seems to be happening.
The question was the answer, dink.
The Interwebs.
If you are right, you get to beat your chest.
If I am right, you are a moron and have to admit such?
Agreed?

Not splintering your numerical superiority into isolated and non-supporting axis of advance that your corrupt and derelict logistics can't support in the field for more than three weeks without compelling a massive retreat. That's one measure I use.
I've answered your question because I'm not afraid of holding a dialogue.
Now, can you answer the questions your earlier assertions raised?
What is the source for this propaganda you have embraced?
How do you decide which ‘Ukrainian insiders’ to believe? The ones that allegedly tell you what allows your worldview of Russia as a competent military power to remain?
Disgusting to compare our founders to uke Galician Nazis.
True, none of the Ukrainians hold slaves, but society evolves for the better.
Do you find yourself troubled by the recent Russian retreats? Do the videos of Ukrainians welcoming their liberators in Kharkiv make you happy, or sad?

LOL. What numerical superiority? By competent logistic do you mean the NATO style oversized logistic trains that aren’t survaivable in modern warfare?
The Ukrainian insiders are легитимный and резидент Telegram channels, both prove extremely accurate.
Germany is and always will be a dirty backstabbing country with a despotic heart-just like RuSSia.
No wonder they get along so well.
In February of 2022, which nation had a numerical superiority in AFVs, helos, aircraft, artillery and men? Russia or Ukraine?
