Democrats Aren’t ‘Divisive,’ They’re Desperate
The Federalist ^ | SEPTEMBER 09, 2022 | EDDIE SCARRY

Posted on 09/11/2022 12:30:53 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

People on the right are calling Joe Biden’s vicious “MAGA Republicans” speech “unpresidential” and “divisive” when in reality, it was simply desperate. That’s a new theme on the left that has become obvious on a comical level.

The national media have spent the last several weeks insisting that after enduring months of record inflation, unaffordable gas and electric bills, plus a completely avoidable war costing taxpayers billions (and counting), the country is now feeling a new sense of affection for Biden. I’m sure. Now they’re hyping up the Democrat line about some “extreme MAGA ideology” (what?) and “authoritarian leaders” who “represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

Those are all quotes that Biden slurred his way through last week in Philadelphia, but the sentiment was just as sweetly captured the previous day in a New York Times column by Thomas Edsall. But instead of targeting the unnamed yet ever-so-fearsome “MAGA Republicans,” Edsall and a round of scholars went after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, aka God’s Chosen One.

“The fact that Ron DeSantis … is favored to win re-election is a clear warning to those worried about declining support for democratic institutions and values in the United States,” wrote Edsall.

A popular governor might be chosen by voters in his state for a second term. That certainly doesn’t sound like cause for worry. But maybe Edsall has a bigger point.

Should DeSantis win reelection, he wrote, it would indicate that voters in a major swing state “will tolerate, if not actively embrace, the abuse of traditional political norms by domineering leaders.” It’s unclear what Edsall meant by “abuse of traditional political norms,” but he noted that the governor “has made no secret of his intent to use executive authority to the fullest extent.”

MSM has taken this up full out. They are trying to convince the independents the GOP has been hijackd by these “hate filled violent people”. Many Independents are, by their nature, easily sway by this kind of BS I am afraid.

"Many Independents are, by their nature, easily sway by this kind of BS I am afraid."

Shows you know zip about independents. They are the LEAST likely to be swayed. Hard-core party adherents are the ones MOST likely to be swayed. BTW, "I" am a conservative independent, and have been since I was first able to vote over fifty years ago.

Desperate? They get everything they want. Even if they lose the midterms, they will get what they want and Republican voters will get nothing.

Focus on the “many” in my sentence before you knee jerk. I am an independent too. all the rats need to do is convince a plurality of the indies and the rats win.

The point is when Republicans win elections Republican voters don’t get anything and when Democrats win elections or they lose elections their voters get what they want.

They are desperate. They’re losing everything.

They’re losing blue collar workers, so they scream “Unions!”

They’re losing blacks, so they scream “White supremacists!”.

They’re losing Hispanics, so they scream “Open borders and jobs!”

All they have left are the hardcore left — freaks, the sexually confused, the easily bamboozled. All they have left is the fascist big corporate/big government alliance. That, and their ANTIFA minions and FBI/DOJ goons.

The more desperate they get, the more dangerous they become. This has shown in history not to end well.

There’s a ton of republicans that are actually secretly democrats, but there’s not a single democrat that’s actually a secret republican (Bongino)

Nothing is more true than that.

If you examine history, you find that the people who had the most hatred for “fascists” were the communists. Which fits, since today’s Democrats are actually communists.

Joe Biden loves to say: “MAGA Proposals Are a Threat to the Very Soul of This Country”

Biden walks it back to Fox’s Peter Doocy.

“I do think anyone who refuses to acknowledge an election when it’s been won.......
I think that is a threat to democracy.”

So what Jojo means is the Democratic reaction to Trump’s win in 2016
<><> when Dems tried to suborn electors to save Hillary who won the popular vote,
<><> when Dems boycotted Trumps inaugural,
<><> when Democrats refused to accept he won,
<><> when leftists rioted in the streets on Jan. 20, 2017

Biden didn’t condemn any of that..... then or now....indeed, he encouraged the perception that Trump was not a legitimate president.

It has become commonplace to hear Dementia Joe, and his communist cohorts, divide the world between “democratic nations” and “authoritarian regimes.”

<><>In his recent prime-time address he declared war on MAGA Americans,
<><>Pretender President Biden extolled “democracy” thirty-one times.

It seems as if the more Biden assumes the role of a dictator, the more inclined he is to proclaim himself democracy’s “savior.”
