NATO and Ukraine have escalated from worn out Warsaw Pact junk to unlimited quantities of NATO’s highest tech weaponry. Their toll will eventually force Russia’s first escalation. That escalation will probably be the total destruction of a number of NATO weapon staging areas, mostly in Poland. I’m only 66 and I’ve never been so ill at ease over the international situation.
I think the first salvo of WWIII was just fired. Do we escalate or back down? Did we not actually think about what Ukraine was about, what was at stake, etc. besides Hunter's sweetheart deal on the board of a gas corporation?
The stuff is so expensive it doesn't come in unlimited quantities. You have to buy it in multi-$100B contracts over several years and then they shut down production. They can restart - but how bad do you need it cuz it's gonna cost. They have other highly profitable defense work that they will have to set aside for your special request, which they will willingly do because they are patriotic.
