Putin wouldn’t have dared. And the US “deep state” and MSM would have complained bitterly about the dangerous Mr. Trump.

The funny thing is, the press hysteria over Trump being a madman likely played to his advantage in dealing with foreign countries. The leaders in those countries probably bought into the messaging and thought they were dealing with a very dangerous man; so they behaved, not wishing to get nuked, as the press would have them believe.

This is beginning to look like a design.

They had a choice to behave, but gasbags like Little Ben Hodges had to get on The Twitter and run his mouth with the NATO-nyuknyuknyuk.

“This is beginning to look like a design.”

*****

That’s what I was thinking.

It’s definitely escalation, how much so, hard to tell.

Depends on how widespread the attacks on the critical infrastructure are, and are they intended disable the power and water for days, or weeks/months.

Blatant war crimes.

Those guilty of this must be identified and prosecuted.

Starting with Putin.

Yes, they did have a choice — abandon globalism and Nazism and keep a functioning state and most of the land. Brandon did not let them.

The latest from Kharkov — subway stopped, internet problems.

I wonder why .....

NATO and Ukraine have escalated from worn out Warsaw Pact junk to unlimited quantities of NATO’s highest tech weaponry. Their toll will eventually force Russia’s first escalation. That escalation will probably be the total destruction of a number of NATO weapon staging areas, mostly in Poland. I’m only 66 and I’ve never been so ill at ease over the international situation.

I guess Brussels has thought of that already and has a plan.

I have no faith in Brussels except as our lap dogs. I was counting on Biden and the CIA to have a plan.

I love how concerned you are when you guys are trying to create a catastrophe by shelling a nuclear power plant.

So far they are limited to Eastern Ukraine.

It is not clear if the power plants are taken out for good or can be restarted.

For the record, “buwaya” thinks I’m Russian

No, seriously. He was losing one of his moronic arguments a while back and - seriously - accused me of being a Russian National... just a really good one who signed-up to FR wayyy back to get in good.

I $h1t you not. This is who you’re dealing with.

unlimited quantities of NATO’s highest tech weaponryThe stuff is so expensive it doesn't come in unlimited quantities. You have to buy it in multi-$100B contracts over several years and then they shut down production. They can restart - but how bad do you need it cuz it's gonna cost. They have other highly profitable defense work that they will have to set aside for your special request, which they will willingly do because they are patriotic.

I think the first salvo of WWIII was just fired. Do we escalate or back down? Did we not actually think about what Ukraine was about, what was at stake, etc. besides Hunter's sweetheart deal on the board of a gas corporation?
