A substantial bloc of Ukrainians who were uncertain about joining the EU swung to a more positive view after Russia upped the ante in 2014. How many English-speaking people lived in America in 1776. I certainly did not stop my ancestors from winning the Revolution. One problem in this country is not enough people speak foreign languages. My oldest son studied Russian, one of his sons took the 11 month Arabic course in Monterrey, My other son speaks Spanish, and so do I. Which is a good thing since our schools do such a lousy job of preparing students for the building trades and my son has a small construction business, and I am renovating several houses.
Speaking a second language can be useful, but it does not make you a member of that particular country. Although it can help you understand that country better. It appears that a lot of Russian speaking Ukranians understand Russia is a dictatorship, and they want no part of it.

I know I hit you pretty hard a couple of weeks ago, and have felt bad for doing so... I have felt sorry about that since.
But you have been mislead regarding near CCCP related Ukrainian and modern Ukrainian history, and this includes Victor Yanukovich in a staggering way. His job in the 1990’s and 2000’s included quietly working with former Supreme Soviet actors, (who almost entirely became the infamous Oligarchs, and mega Oligarchs over Russia’s Military Industrial and Energy Complex’s we still often see today), to run interference and keep Ukrainian military, energy, and agricultural policies subordinate to these Kremlin actors, who were then, and are today almost entirely in control of the CIS.
It is true the financial and economic facade of the CIS is headquartered in Minsk, but the real power, and formal CIS military HQ is in Moscow, nearby the CCCP Red Army HQ, still used today.
As well, I had known of VY and his ties to Putin from the 1993 time frame, before the FSB murdered several key Ukrainian government representatives, and tried to assassinate two pro independent presidential candidates, who didn’t want Ukrainian men being forced to serve in the Russian controlled CIS military. But now one would listen. He was in the back pocket of Putin in a huge way, and flat out lied to the Ukrainian people as to how he would undermine Ukraine in favor of the Kremlin. You know what it’s like, to have first hand information which could save a lot of people, but the POTUS and leftist media are against you. This was in part me (as an American in Moscow), in the mid 1990’s.
I know you have baptized yourself in pro Russian everything.
Having spent nearly a decade in Moscow, (before going into the service), and having spent very considerable in Ukraine during the time frame in question, it is sickening to me the level of propaganda which has been swallowed whole by people across the West, who truly seem to have no idea. Worse, it is human nature to be so proud, as to block out everything which goes against a position publicly taken.
I don’t like to admit when I am wrong either. But I would rather know and espouse the truth and what is right, than to go on being wrong, and trying to persuade others to a false and deadly outcome. How is that godly or moral, or conservative?

As I am sure you have seen posted from FR’s Widget jr, the graphic designed with near current redundant studies, does correctly show Ukraine to be significantly more conservative, God loving, and anti socialist by US standards than almost any EU nation, and Russia correctly being far more structurally socialist/fascist, and actually with a far higher number of people identifying as humanist, gnostic/gnostic marxist, atheist, anti-American, and anti-Jewish/Israel
That being said, I literally have hundreds of friends in and from Russia, many of which I have helped with visa’s to the US. Many because they were being persecuted by the FSB in the 1990’s and 2000’s for their true faith in God, and or because these Evangelical and Protestant Christians were being denied critical medical help because the “state” had them listed as “enemy” of the state.
